Judging from Johnny Depp's headwear, he'd be right at home in one of this Spring's anticipated blockbusters but instead he was just keeping it incognito in LA this week. We missed seeing his pretty face at the SAG Awards and getting to hear his Golden Globes acceptance speech, but we're glad that the Academy recognized his work in Sweeney Todd with a Best Actor nod. The Oscar competition is going to get fierce between fellow nominees Clooney and Daniel-Day Lewis, but as long as we get a glimpse of Johnny on the big night, there won't be any complaints here.

I love him and I will definitely be disappointed if third's time not the charm for Johnny on Oscar night. Daniel Day Lewis has won before (and deservedly so) and even George has a Supporting Actor Oscar. Johnny is SO OVERDUE.

12I think Johnny has a good chance to win. He's great of course, but I remember when the first pirates movie came out he didn't win and really he should have. He had the best performance of everyone in the category that year. The Academy is infamous for giving actors awards for past performances after being passed over for the performance they really should have won for. So it could happen.
My favorite Johnny movies are the prirates movies, From Hell, Crybaby( yeah I know), Edward Scissor Hands,What's eating Gilbert Grape, he has so many good ones who could name them all, but I really loved him in Donnie Brasco
