I gotta give a big old bravo to the Santa Barbara Film Festival for really luring in the hotness this year. First Ryan Reynolds premiered [1] his movie there, then Monday evening Javier Bardem was in the house [2] getting an award, and last night Ryan Gosling made the minor trek into town for the Independent Award Tribute. Solid work, SBFF! I like the mentality of giving awards to the very talented and conveniently swoon-worthy. Of course Gosling was a class act at the SAG Awards [3] with his subtle tribute to Heath [4] and he was looking similarly dapper (and chest show-off-y) last night. How could you not love him?
