Cate Blanchett on Her New Win: "All I Had to Do Was Show Up!"

The Golden Globes aren't the only award show this weekend. On Friday night, several award-season favorites collected big trophies at the third annual AACTA International Awards at the Sunset Marquis in LA. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Michael Fassbender, the stars of 12 Years a Slave, scored big, winning the best actor and best supporting actor awards, while Cate Blanchett took home the best actress honor for her role in Blue Jasmine. Cate joked about her award when she took to the stage, saying, "I'm Australian. I guess it's a done deal — all I had to do was show up." (The show is organized by the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts, Oz's version of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.) The three actors could be going home with another award on Sunday as they are all up for awards at the Golden Globes.
