After weeks of speculation and rumors, here it is: Adam Lambert's Rolling Stone cover story! His sexuality has been less and less of a mystery, especially after seeing Adam holding hands with his rumored boyfriend, but he still addressed the burning question. He also opened up about how a "drug-fueled" trip to Burning Man is what made him join American Idol — I'm guessing he's the only AI contestant ever to attend Burning Man. Here are highlights:

Ever since he made his debut, Adam's been doing things his own way, and in even bigger news he just signed a record deal. His first album is expected this Fall and he ended his announcement saying, "It's going to be ridiculous! Get ready!" At this point, we expect nothing less.
If anyone didn't know this boy was gay shame on you.
1really, shame? why is there shame involved?
who cares that he is gay?
2I totally agree lickety split. It makes me sick that there's so much emphasis on forcing people in the limelight to admit to us their sexuality. It's none of our damn business. If they want to admit they're gay, great. If they don't, we should respect that and that should be great too. It has nothing whatsoever to do with their talent, so why do we need to know?
3I don't get it either...why is his sexuality important at all? It's noone's business...
4LOL Its kinda obvious is all I meant. I didn't mean it like shame u have no gay detector. LOL I just mean like everyone was wondering if he was gay...I thought it was pretty clear he was. I mean why did everyone care so much or act like maybe he could be str8.
5That's such a shocking revelation
6I never thought he was straight and I didn't watch the show. I caught highlights on the talk shows and I couldn't believe the hoopla because I hate the sound of his singing.
7He seems especially nasty towards Clay Aiken the times I've heard him...like catty woman. However, Clay's voice is beautiful.
8We're all on the same page, Love Angelina. It's the media that keep making sexuality such an issue. I think the rest of us figure it out and move on.
9duh....
10I agree who cares, do heterosexuals have to talk about themselves in this way?
11PensaPink...the comments Adam made only follow the extremely catty comments that Clay Aiken made about him first. Aiken took to his bitter blog to rip into Adam Lambert during the Idol season and wasn't exactly diplomatic about his opinion. Heh.
12Naturally everyone then went to Adam to get a response. Personally I like that he didn't hesitate to give it right back.
I love that he has done own thing and didn't hide being gay. Didn't make a big deal out of it. It is just a part of his life. I just want to say shame on PerezHilton for making such a big deal of it like Adam was setting civil rights back a few decades or something. Forcing people to come out is stupid to me.
13omg...@shannolyn...sounds like why I haven't hung out with a group of girls since college. ridiculous.
14LOL at the snake. It's so random.
15The snake--did they REALLY need to do that? Allow me to answer: Uh, no.
16Im proud of Adam for coming out the way he did on his own terms and not anyone elses terms, All that matters is he does what he loves to do and that hes happy with his life and who he dates that the most important part of life is making you happy not anyone els because they think its a sin to be gay or it shouldn't be part of the whole image that American idol contestant should have that doesn't matter He is proud of his sexuality and that all that matters to the people who think hes not a good rolemodel shame on you i think he is he teaches kids to open about who they are and just be themselfs and not what other people think you should act or be.
17Me again at least hes not a serial killer or Rapist or peaphile or someone who beats on there child or spous.
18lol i like the snake!, it makes him look fiercer than he already is. i already know he's gay, he admitted his "preference in an old cabaret video i saw on youtube. however, i won't deny that deep inside i still hoped he was bi (just so my fantasies could be a little more realistic
) but now that it is settled, i don't love him any less than i used to..and i can't wait for his album!
19Yay! I want to buy this. Love Adam.
20He annoys me to no end.
21Rolling stone cover is HOT! I can't wait for his album, its gonna so rock! I knew it wouldn't take him long to score a record deal, this dudes gonna be iconic! Love him!
22..and I'm straight, who gives a f***, he's still lame
23I agree, who cares and who the heck didn't already know that!
24I think it's a hot cover.. damn!
25Shocking and I didn't even watch AI
26Not shocking at all. this is like when star jones came out and said she had a bypass.
its a shame Adam is gay thought. because he's really good looking.
27Great cover, and I am so glad he will be making albums for everyone to hear!
28I think it's funny that he is getting the most publicity and he was in second place just goes to show you don't have to be in first place.
29The only thing about this gay "out" thing is that you are immediatly dealing with the person's sex lives. Really, who gives a .... on that?
I am not gay so I have not walked in their shoes, but is it necessary to be or come "out" publicly? Some privacy is good to have I would think.
30I watched the show and it is pretty obvious to me that he is gay. I think it is not a big deal that he is gay, he is a good singer, that is all that matters. but i guess it is a big deal to adam since he has to come out in Rolling Stones.
31Cover= TOTAL SEX!
btw, i heard that in the interview he said that he loved when the girls would go crazy over him during AI, and he thinks it's all hot. there was something said like,"even though i'm not sticking it in there, it doesnt mean i don't think it's beautiful" --dont quote me on that quote lol
apparently he also mentioned something about starting to feel bi-curious. i say, whatever, love you Adam no matter what!
32I just love how he did it!
"I didn't want the Clay Aiken thing and the celebrity-magazine bullsh*t. I need to be able to explain myself in context."
Best line ever! A-freaking-MEN!
33who cares? i thought it was the music that matters
