Adele Flips the Bird at Brit Awards (Video)

Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and we're talking about last night's Brit Awards where Adele's honors weren't the only thing getting attention. It's in today's PopSugar Rush. ADELE: "You had my heart and soul in your hands, and you played it to the beat . . . " It was deja vu for Adele at the Brit Awards! After winning six Grammys last week and performing "Rolling in the Deep" on stage, the British singer was back again last night at the Brit Awards to sing her hit and take the evening's honors for British Female Solo Artist and British Album of the Year. But it's what happened after Adele won that really has people talking . . HOST: I'm so so sorry, and I can't believe I'm about to. ADELE: You're going to cut me off. HOST: I'm so sorry. During her acceptance speech for Album of the Year, the show's host cut Adele off in order to move on to a performance by Blur, and she was so taken aback that she quickly flipped a bird. ADELE: I wanted to say, I got cut off during my speech for best album and I flung the middle finger, but that was to the suits at the Brit Awards, not to my fans. I was about to thank the British public for all their support, but they cut me off. So I'm sorry if I offended anyone, but the suits offended me. Adele apologized for the incident back in the press room, and the show's broadcasters also issued an apology of their own for keeping her speech so short, saying: "We regret this happened and we send deepest apologies to Adele that her big moment was cut short tonight due to the live show over-running." Adele wasn't the only big winner last night. Coldplay took the stage to accept the British Group Award, and Rihanna also won for International Female Solo Artist, taking a moment to thank her fans. RIHANNA: At times when I feel misunderstood, my fans always remind me that it's OK to be myself, and I'll never forget you for that, so thank you.
