Taylor Swift and Alicia Keys brought US star power to the red carpet at the NRJ Music Awards this evening in Cannes. Both arrived in France recently to attend the awards, which also attracted musical acts like Psy and One Direction. Tonight may be an awkward one for Taylor Swift since she may run into her ex Harry Styles of One Direction. He and his bandmates Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson hit the carpet as well. Both Taylor and Alicia had stunning — though different — looks before the show began. Alicia wore a cutout Michael Kors gown, with husband Swizz Beatz on her arm, and apparently got a great reception. She tweeted, "France, I can feel the love!" Taylor, meanwhile, donned a sequined gold mini from Elie Saab.

Alicia Keys's husband, Swizz Beatz, gushed over his hug with President Barack Obama during The Inaugural Ball. Katy Perry and John Mayer were also at the Ball and snapped a quick photo with Eric Benet and his daughter. At the swearing-in ceremony, Beyoncé Knowles sang the national anthem — but not before she got a quick pic with her mom, Tina. Wilmer Valderrama sat in the audience in front of the US Capitol to watch Obama give his big speech.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama shared a special first dance to Jennifer Hudson singing "Let's Stay Together" at The Inaugural Ball held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC last night. Michelle wore a glamorous red Jason Wu gown for the occasion, which came after the official swearing-in ceremony and parade earlier today. Beyoncé Knowles performed the national anthem at that event, but this evening Alicia Keys, Brad Paisley, and Stevie Wonder took the stage to sing. It's been a busy few days in our nation's capitol with plenty of celebrities attending inaugural festivities over the weekend and even more famous faces stepping out tonight. She may have won two Golden Globes last weekend for her HBO series, Girls, but lately the most-talked about topic in regards to writer, filmmaker, and actress Lena Dunham has been her weight, not her talent. Radio host Howard Stern is in hot water for calling Lena a "little fat chick." And while Lena told David Letterman last week that the comments "put me in the best mood," the 26-year-old has been honest that she's had a love-hate relationship with her body, despite displaying it so freely on her show. She told New York Magazine:

"It's a very specific body. Even great reviews will be like: chubby, portly, overweight. . . . Sometimes I'm like, 'Ugh, how did I make myself the guinea pig for this?' But on the other hand, hating my body has not been my cross to bear in this life. Which I feel very lucky about."

Several famous women have opened up about their struggles with body image and eating disorders. Katie Couric revealed on her talk show that she struggled with bulimia when interviewing another famous lady who's dealt with eating disorders, Demi Lovato. And Lady Gaga, who has faced criticism about her weight gain, launched a movement called A Body Revolution to encourage body acceptance. She said she started it to "inspire bravery," adding, "Be brave and celebrate with us your 'perceived flaws,' as society tells us. May we make our flaws famous, and thus redefine the heinous."

Many celebrity women have courageously talked about what they don't like about their bodies, their past eating disorder issues, and how they've overcome a negative body image. Let's be inspired to accept our bodies just how they are with these encouraging words now!

LA wasn't the only city with award-show action taking place last night, since Washington DC welcomed the 2013 BET Honors. Gabrielle Union hosted the event, which will air on BET Feb. 11, and walked the carpet in a sexy green gown. Halle Berry, who was honored with an award for service, chose a strapless Monique Lhuillier dress for the occasion and posed alongside pal Alicia Keys on her way inside. Alicia looked glamorous in a black CD Greene ensemble, though she changed into a fitted red number to perform during the show. Brandy also took the stage and sang with Anthony Burrell, while Kelly Rowland mingled with pals backstage and in the audience.

Christmas may be over, but the stars are still sharing their favorite holiday memories from this year. Miley Cyrus and John Mayer dressed up as Santa, while Jessica Alba posed with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and Julianne Hough wore a holiday onesie to open presents.
