Pregnancy and motherhood are long journeys that pass much faster when shared with others. Today's moms and moms-to-be have the benefit of social media to help them through. This past week, Twitter has been flooded with tweets from celebrity mamas and those with a baby on the way. Tori Spelling, Jessica Alba, and Alyssa Milano have led the pack, updating their fans frequently. See if you can guess which celeb sent out each of the following tweets. Good luck!
Alyssa Milano was out and about in LA yesterday for some pregnancy pampering, the day before she gave birth to her son, Milo Thomas! Alyssa welcomed her first child with husband David Bugliari this morning around 9:30 a.m. Alyssa debuted her baby bump at the premiere of Hall Pass in February, and although some fans and friends asked if she was overdue last week, she took to Twitter to assure them her little guy wasn't "baked yet." Congrats to Alyssa and David on their new arrival!
Old wives tales abound during pregnancy, but one in particular is causing some mamas-to-be to do a double-take. Yesterday Alyssa Milano tweeted a photo of the inside of her refrigerator with the caption, "Apparently, last night, in the mind of a very pregnant woman . . . milk in the kitchen cabinet and olive oil in the refrigerator made sense. Whatever. Don't judge me." While many mama's experience pregnancy brain, what caught the attention of her followers was a glass pitcher filled with something called "3rd Trimester Tea."
So what is 3rd Trimester Tea ($6)? A blend of herbs that are supposed to help prepare the mom-to-be's uterus, breasts, and body for labor. Among the ingredients in Earth Mama Angel Baby's organic version are:
- Red raspberry leaf: an herb that strengthens and tones the uterus, it is believed to help prevent false labor.
- Stinging nettle leaf: an iron-rich herb to provide strength.
- Spearmint: used to help relax, spearmint can also relieve headaches and fatigue.
- Chamomile flower: a digestive aid, chamomile is also thought to soothe cramping associated with Braxton Hicks contractions.
- Rose hip: teas featuring rose hip have been used to strengthen the body's resistance to infection.
So is it right for you? That's between expectant moms and their doctors, but if the benefits are to be believed then it sounds like it couldn't hurt!

Celebs fired up their grills, headed poolside, and decked their tots out in red, white, and blue for their Fourth of July celebrations yesterday. Like many of us, Hollywood's moms and dads spent the day with their lil firecrackers, celebrating the nation's birthday at local parades, carnivals, and beaches. Take a look at how these celeb families spent the big day.
These mamas-to-be can't stop talking! With babies in their bellies, these expectant celebs have a lot to say about how pregnancy is making them feel. Some are spouting their thoughts on Twitter, while others are taking their views right to the press. See if you can guess which quotes come from Kate Hudson, Alyssa Milano, Pink, and Jessica Alba. Good luck!
The many men of The Hangover Part II gathered at Grauman's Chinese Theatre last night for their big LA premiere. Bradley Cooper was dapper in a Tom Ford suit and flashed a big smile for photographers next to his costars Zach Galifianakis and Ed Helms — they even had Crystal the Monkey there! Ken Jeong was one of the first down the carpet, and he spoke to us about his excitement at reuniting with the guys. He even admitted to being open to expanding his Mr. Chow character in a possible spinoff. Ken, who's actually an MD in real life, said his medical knowledge came in handy when some of his castmates came down with food poising while they filmed in Thailand! Ed Helms was likewise thrilled to get a meatier part in the sequel. His small-screen project, The Office, aired its season finale yesterday, and Ed revealed that he doesn't know what's next, but Steve Carell's rumored replacement, Catherine Tate, is a pro. The screening brought out plenty of famous faces, like cute couple Kristen Bell and Dax Shephard, Mike Tyson, and a super-pregnant Alyssa Milano. Kristen and Crystal shared an especially intimate moment. Stay tuned for more on today's PopSugar Rush!
Pregnancy is the hot topic of conversation in Hollywood these days! With so many mamas-to-be wandering around Tinseltown, it's no surprise that they have a lot to say about their growing bellies. Whether taking to their Twitter accounts or taking on the talk-show circuit, see if you can guess whether Alyssa Milano, Pink, or Tina Fey said the following quotes!
Expectant moms are a very chatty bunch. And with active Twitter accounts, celeb moms-to-be have a ready audience to listen to their musings on babies, pregnancy, and life in general. Three pregnant celebs — Alyssa Milano, Mariah Carey, and Pink — have been tweeting about their experiences along the way. See if you can guess who's said what!
Alyssa Milano stepped out to attend a prenatal yoga class in LA yesterday. The mom-to-be keeps fans updated on the progress of her pregnancy, and her Twitter feed was just named one of Time's 140 best ones to follow — though Geek has a few important people they left off the list. She's stopping by Piers Morgan Tonight later today to chat about the social networking tool, and in the meantime, don't forget to follow PopSugar on Twitter! The actress also recently joined the ranks of stars who have covered up their baby bumps on set when she filmed her part in the star-studded New Year's Eve alongside Halle Berry.
Alyssa Milano scrubbed in on the set of New Year's Eve in NYC yesterday. She's the most recent star to dress up in medical gear for the cameras after Halle Berry donned a similar blue ensemble on Tuesday. The pregnant actress has apparently been getting plenty of parenting advice from her costars, with Halle being the latest to talk about the experience of motherhood. Some words of wisdom have been harsh but reassuring for Alyssa, but the mom-to-be insists that the tips make her feel much better. Alyssa has a little while to go before the birth of her first child, which means she can fully enjoy her time at work with the rest of the ensemble cast including Robert De Niro.
