I love how he closes his eyes when Simon says 'no' like he actually thought he had a chance. I may just have nightmares about this guy serenading me!!

This was the only part I saw the other night, and I was wondering why they let him go on for so long, even with the good people they tell them to stop after a little while, and this guy seems seriously emotionally unstable...it's not right that they exploit people with mental problems and physical deformities

poor guy. I feel so bad for some of these people, some of them get really upset after because no one told them. That's wrong, if you know someone who can't sing but thinks they can. please tell them!

Geesh, I don't think Molly did anything. It is funny. The Jason guy is funny. Come people, remember that Asian guy, was it William Hang or something like that? There is a second market for these 'terrible' performers. She's not the one calling him pathetic...just commented on his lack of talent.

Mollynik Why do they have to make fun of the pathetic people? That is what this guy is...he seems to have been kind of a geek and a little shy. It probably took all his courage just to try out. So he wasn't good, did they have to be sooo damn mean? Why is it that they only make fun of the pitiful, ugly or overweight people? I'm willing to bet that a lot of "pretty" people tried out, failed miserably and no one made fun of them though.....right? This is awful and I am surprised that you have put this clip on your website. There were other ones that would have been better. Choose who you are going to make fun of, because someday it could come back to bite you in the a**!!!

I watched for a couple of minutes and this was the guy I saw. I would never allow someone I knew and cared about go do that if they sucked. We can blame the judges who we already know are rough, of the people around some of these people that do this.

I agree with SwimKari. It is mean sometimes when they take people who don't know better and make asses out of them. I think AI has gotten a little bit too harsh this year and I doubt I'll watch it anymore. They made me cry the other night with one person they were teasing!!!

First off, I completely agree how so many people who try out for American Idol do have NO TALENT and I think they know it and just want their five minutes of fame. However, I think some of these comments were made out of context and are based on those people I just referred to. What this clip doesn't show is Ryan's interview with the contestant before and after the audition. He seemed genuinely confused and sad about the outcome --- I don't think he was looking for fame, I just think he's a geeky guy who didn't know any better, seriously.
