American Idol Season 6: It's Down to Blake and Jordin

Last night America got it wrong again when they voted off Melinda. I really had no idea who was going to be voted off, but I am disappointed to see Melinda go. I knew Jordin and Blake had loyal fans so I guess I should have been more prepared for the outcome. Next week I hope these two step it up. Jordin clearly has the better voice but Blake can be more entertaining. It will be interesting to see who wins this year, but I don't think this season has churned out the next Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood. For more on last night's episode click here.

jordin IS the next kelly clarkson. her voice has such amazing range and quality to it....shes awesome. she's my pick for the win!!!! i also like blake based on his style. he could defntly make some hot club songs.

The voting system is TOTALLY flawed, American Idol needs to FIX this problem and revise to get it RIGHT/ACCURATE/FAIR. People permitted in voting outrageous number of times is NOT at all FAIR to THOSE who are IN any type of competition. People appear to get distracted and become focused with crushes, looks,clothing, you name it. This show is supposedly about TALENT, but you would never know it by the way the VOTING went this WHOLE season. It has become a JOKE( not a funny one) and everyone affiliated with this program needs to maybe take a more SERIOUS approach to better IMPROVE this VOTING PROCESS for next season.

Really? I think Blake is a great musician; he's the most unique person on there. I would buy he's music if he kept w/ his signature beatboxing and mixing.

I love Melinda -- her voice sounds like silk. I feel that the only reason she was voted off was because of her look. I don't understand peoples love for Blake -- he seems very fake. I don't think I could ever listen to his record.

Hey thats ok. I am basically just happy that way thive and ohilovemybabies didn't start crying on me. They would have ben PRETTY PRETTY ticked if Blake went home. And I would have been the one to deal with it. :)

I was stunned by last nights results! Melinda is very talented and will have a successful singing career ahead of her (possibly act or sing in movies too). Will vote for Blake now.

But, I am a bit upset. I loved Melinda from the start. But hey, Blake is good also. I just hope Jordin wins the whole thing, she gives me chills sometimes. Either way, it will be a good show next week. Can't wait to see who wins!

If it's not Melinda and Kiki, it should've been Melinda and Blake. Jordin is sweet and has a nice voice, but I wouldn't buy her album. I'd buy any of the others.

He does! It came out last month!! Its pretty good...very soulful/r&bish! He has a song on there called Take My Breath Away (and not not a re-make of the original song, lol) it's soooo beautiful!
