Simon's So Vain, He Probably Thinks This Post Is About Him
So much for the best season of Idol ever. Last night was another letdown. I still heart Brooke. The song, her voice, her look, and her banter with Simon are all adorable. Also love the modesty — not from Simon, from Brooke of course. Other winners were Carly and Ramiele. The rest were just whatever. I'm not buying Kristy Lee Cook's attempt to be wholesome. Amanda needs to stop trying too hard. The hair and outfit were painful to look at and should we really reward someone who simply sounds like she smokes three packs of cigarettes a day? Oh and need I mention the DUI?
Asia'h's the closing number was just a mistake. She was not impressive, and it was embarrassing. Apparently the flu is still causing problems, but what's going to be the excuse next week? Let's just get down to the final 12 already. Bye Bye Jason Yager, Robbie, and Amanda and Alexandrea. Buzz's recap here and don't forget to vote off your girls here!

ok, so I don't usually watch American Idol. but I just happened to turn to it when Brooke sang. I think she had an ok voice and she had the "look". I don't know why she was voted off when there were other people who could have gone home before her.
1I loved it when the sound people turned on Simon's microphone right at the end of the song, and he leaned over to Paula and Randy and said, "I really don't like how she's looking at me thru that entire song.." I rolled. Overall the performances last night were only meh... They weren't anything too fantastic for me.
2Amanda's hair was awful. I cringed looking at her, how could you look in the mirror and think it is ok to go on national tv like that? I was embarrassed for her.
3Part of me honestly feels like Amanda is trying to get voted off. I just get the distinct impression that she really doesn't get along with the other contestants, and isn't super friendly.
4i was working out while watching american idol and there was no sound to what they were singing but I saw amanda's hair. it looked terrible. btw, ramiele is a cutie pie.
5Come on... you have to admit Amanda is a little bit awesome. I mean seriously.
Loved Brooke. Kristy Lee Cook reminds me of the girls in Tori Amos' "Precious Things".

7Brooke is by far my favorite this year!!! What I love the best is she don't hold up her fingers for her number. For some reason, that drives me INSANE! I knew the first week when she was the only one that didn't do that, she was my girl!!!

11whoever said Amanda seems unfriendly I totally agree. I don't like prissy girls that can't do anything,but I also don't like girls who look like they could benchpress you and her hair and pants were horrible. she sounded bad too. I like Carly and Brooke.

13Um, PS-- how irritating is it that Kristy seems to think girls don't like camping and horses? yeah. we all know how much little girls hate horses. Gimme a break.
14i used to have a problem with simon, now i am beginning to like him, ryan gets on my f*cking nerves, he is not funny likes to talk sh*t but when simon comes back at him he gets all crybaby like, he annoys me i used to like him
15I agree with all of you who said Amanda looks unfriendly. She seems like the odd man out in this competition! Not to mention what was up with her look last night. Everything about it was awful!
I thought Brooke did great last night. I also like Ramielle and Ayeshia....I think thats how you spell her name?
As for everyone else.....I dont know whats going on but I thought this was supposed to be the most talented season ever????

17This is the first time I've watched AI - I honestly find it loathsome, but addictive. Meh. Yes, Amanda sucked last night and the look was wrong BUT, you know, she does bring something different and non-manufactured to the table. And who are we to judge the personal life/skeletons? Pop, you're basically saying because of her DUI, she deserves no success ever in life. AI is not "rewarding" her bad behavior; we can choose not to vote for her. It's a little close-minded, in my opinion.
"You're So Vain" girl was good, yes, but her hair is a little too Taylor Swift and she needs to be less Sheryl Crow. I do, however, love that they did seventies songs. All terrific songs, just not matched properly to the talent.
