The ladies mixed it up on the red carpet at the American Music Awards last night, but most opted to show off their stems. Never one to blend in with the crowd, Beyonce decided to go with the mermaid look that was a favorite back at the Emmys. What did you think about all the red carpet looks and beauty? Rihanna usually kills it on the red carpet, but we all agree that she missed the mark this time around. Luckily she looked much better during her acceptance speech (click here for winners) and performance — more on that later. Overall, most of the ladies managed to look both glamorous and flirty but who do you think was the best dressed?

Rihanna sounded amazing! She is one performer who actually sounds like her recorded voice. Alicia has incredible range, too. But oh my goodness....poor Fergie. Maybe she should have stood still?!? Her voice cracked, was off-key, out of breath, and all around terrible on the singing end. Her saving grace....she actually looked put together. Some of her dance moves seemed a bit challenging for her as well. I say good for the botox. It's helping her to look less masculine and more her age. Justin Chambers is out of his mind.

Sad as i am to say it , Beyonce looks the best out of this bunch- eventhough she's wearing the same type of dress she always wears - everybody else either had bad dresses or their make-up looked off - there is a whole lot of old-looking teens/20yr olds here! Jordin looks so old!! shame! Worst is Avril - girl has no style.
