Angelina Jolie Calls Brad Pitt a Real Man

Angelina Jolie Calls Brad Pitt "A Real Man, in All Things That It Means"

Angelina Jolie keeps making the interview rounds to chat up her recently released animated movie — the Kung Fu Panda 2 reviews were good, but that didn't stop The Hangover Part II from claiming the top spot at the weekend box office. The actress recently spoke to the UK paper The Telegraph about the film as well as her family, thoughts on partner Brad Pitt, and how she came to direct her first film In the Land of Blood and Honey. Angelina also revealed that she loves to ride motorcycles like Brad, who she says is a real man. Angelina Jolie said of Brad Pitt and more:

  • On her and Brad's family decisions: "When Brad and I decided to have a large family we decided we'd only do it if we could be really hands on and take the kids with us, seeing them every day. I am always there on weekends, I only ever work a five-day week, and I am often there for breakfast or dinner. When I'm working they come up at lunch . . . It's a special time for daddy when mom works for a few months. And Brad is such a great dad. When I'm working he's putting in the extra dad time, and that's special for their relationship, too."
  • On sharing Brad's love of motorcycles: "I have an MV Augusta. But Brad is the real rider. He's really good . . . But that said, I love being a woman. I love that I can have children. I love feeling soft, I love being with Brad, I love all the sensitivity and natural emotion."
  • On deciding to direct: "I sat down and decided I would write one day. I didn't intend on writing anything or directing anything, but I wrote a piece and Brad read it and said, 'You know what, honey, it's not too bad. It's pretty good.' We joked about it, but then the next thing I knew I didn't trust anyone else with the material and I was directing the movie. I had such a great experience and Brad was so supportive."
  • On Brad being a real man: "I am very lucky with Brad. He is a real gentleman, but he is also a real man's man. He's got the wonderful balance of being an extraordinary, great, loving father, a very, very intelligent man, and physically he's a real man in all things that it means."
