Angelina Jolie says she's learned about strong women from her mother and daughters. Hi there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and we have the details on Angelina's night at the Women in the World summit in today's PopSugar Rush. "I had a wonderful mother, I learned a lot about women through her. I have great daughters who teach me a lot about the strength of women . . . " Last night's Women in the World Summit event in New York may have been about women around the globe, but on the red carpet, Angelina Jolie was reflecting on the females in her own life to The Telegraph. The actress and Goodwill Ambassador came out for her very first appearance since her sexy leg stance at the Oscars, but this time, she kept it covered in Gucci, posing for photographers before speaking out on women's issues. ANGELINA JOLIE: "Hawa Abdi came to this summit but a year ago, as an icon for a peaceful society. She could not have imagined what was to come in the following twelve months . . . " Angelina took the podium in the evening to discuss the plight of Nobel Peace Prize nominee Dr. Hawa Abdi, a gynecologist and obstetrician in Somalia, but she's just one of the famous speakers at the three-day conference, which is hosted by Newsweek and The Daily Beast; Hillary Clinton and Meryl Streep are also scheduled to appear on stage before the summit comes to an end tomorrow. As for Angelina's daughters, who were clearly on her mind, they're back in New Orleans at the moment with Brad, where they've been spotted taking their bulldog Jacques for a walk while they wait for mom's return.
