Another New Man for Britney
The blue-eyed Britney wore her favorite boots to celebrate her sister Jamie Lynn's 16th Birthday at Ruth's Chris last night. It looks like Brit had a little accident during the meal, but that didn't take the smile off her face. Word is Britney found a new man she met at Promises, musician Howie Day. Here's more:
“Britney just lights up and seems back to her old self when she talks to Howie or tells people about him,” an “insider” tells the mag. “She thinks he’s very talented — and says he’s the best kisser ever!”
But not everyone is thrilled about the romance. Spears’ mother, Lynne, is concerned about Day’s past: he’s been arrested twice and was sent to rehab as part of his probation.
“Lynne wants Britney to be with someone outside the music industry,” says the Spears family insider. “Howie is always on the road and exposed to influences that are discouraged in rehab.”
We'd love to see Britney happy with a new man but we'd rather see her getting healthy and spending time with her sons right now.

6I don't know anything about Howie Day except he opened for Tori Amos a few years back and I did think he was pretty talented. Mixed his own music right on stage while he played, I was impressed. Past that I know nothing about him LOL.

10This is NOT the guy she meant in rehab that they were talking about last week. His name was Jason something or other. Unless, she meant Howie Day the next week in rehab....which is a total possibility
11He is the flavor of the week. She'll move on to someone else after she goes out to the next club. She really doesn't seem to have changed any from her SHORT stint in rehab... She needs some rehab on how to spend time with her flipping kids ,and stay aways from the limelight for a few years.

15Not sure how accurate this is but did yall see that Kevin gets the kids for four days a week and she is paying HIM child support....hmmmm. That sounds to me like he has custody. Why wouldn't a mother want her kids more than three days a week? I guess we will see more partying from her soon while Kev is raising the kiddos. What a worthless mother she is!

24I don't know about anyone else but I am sort of sick of hearing people rip into Brit saying she's a bad Mom and all. I did my share of it too but damn people let's get over it. Nonetheless all the talk about someone being a worthless Mom has made me think about just why she should HAVE to take custody of the kids? Society just straight up puts that on women cause that's how things used to be . . . traditionally. Of course most Mom's would want to spend as much time with their kids as possible then there are some that have careers and let the Dads deal with all the sh*tty diapers. Does that make them a bad Mom? No. Driving with her kid on her lap like she did awhile back didn't look good though. It takes 2 to make a baby so 2 should care for it. Who says the Mom HAS to take care of it the most? Between her and K Fed she's the bread winner so what's the deal really? I don't know what I'm saying obviously. Just random thoughts.

31Folks . . . enough with spending time with the kids already. She cannot spend time with her kids when she does not have her kids. Glad to see she is spending time with any of her family members. She certainly has a ways to go, but quick visits at restaurants coupled with a pretty lean body without complete puffiness is a step in the right direction. I am sure each day is a struggle.

I really wish she would ditch the fake blue eyes, they are so fake looking. Her natural eyes are much nicer.
She has very bad taste in men.
45Always having a guy around is another addictive dependency she'll need to work on eventually. But the chemical dependencies should be addressed first. One issue at a time.
46Britney and Howie Day???? Howie Day is an amazing singer/songwriter but I agree with some of the postings above he is sleazy.....Britney should avoid a relationship with him!!
I saw him in concert in Newport RI in the summer of 2004 and while his music was great, I was disappointed when he acted kind of sleazy onstage and after the concert......he has quite the reputation for being a ladies man and he lived up to it that night. I know a lot of people from New England who knew him in Maine before he was famous and they confirmed that he has pretty much always been this way about the ladies and as his fame has grown he has gotten worse. It is disappointing because his music is great.....
47i don't know if i really believe britney is an alcoholic/druggie. i think she abused alcohol and drugs as an escape the mess she's made of her life. people who do that aren't necessarily addicts.
