Is there a competition brewing between The Avengers and The Hunger Games? Hey there, I'm Lauren Bradshaw, and we're taking you to last night's world premiere for The Avengers, where we were live on the carpet to speak with the cast in today's PopSugar Rush! The Avengers cast joined forces at last night's world premiere in LA! Robert Downey Jr.: "Hi!" Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, and the rest of the all-star ensemble hit the red carpet in their formal best, and it sounds like there may be a friendly rivalry starting between the film's cast and another big movie: The Hunger Games. Jeremy Renner joked with our own PopSugar Editor Lindsay Miller that when it comes down to his bow-and-arrow skilled character Hawkeye versus Hunger Games heroine Katniss Everdeen, it's no contest. LINDSAY MILLER: Who do you think would win in an archery contest: Hawkeye or Katniss from The Hunger Games? JEREMY RENNER: Oh Hawkeye, yeah, bye bye. LINDSAY MILLER: Now Jeremy told me he thinks that Hawkeye could beat Katniss in an archery competition, do you agree? CHRIS HEMSWORTH: Yeah, I think I have to, this is my team isn't it? Chris Hemsworth may have sided with his Avengers cast, but he still shared his admiration for The Hunger Games, and particularly, his brother Liam's performance. CHRIS HEMSWORTH: Oh it was fantastic, it was a relatively small role, but it stood out, he's really talented. The Avengers joins Thor, Captain America, Iron Man, the Hulk, and several other Marvel characters to help save the world, but it isn't just evil the group is fighting. Robert Downey Jr. told us that there's going to be some bickering among the members of the team . . . ROBERT DOWNEY JR.: "Everybody is annoyed by everybody at some point in this thing." . . . And then, of course, there are those tight, uncomfortable costumes . . . SCARLETT JOHANSSON: You know when you're fighting in 120 degree heat in a warehouse in a rubber suit, you just got to meditate. The real battle though will be at the box office. Early buzz is already calling The Avengers a pleasing popcorn movie, but we'll still have to wait a couple weeks before judging for ourselves. The film comes to theaters May 4.
