Is Barbara Walters Going Too Far to Sell Books?

On yesterday's Oprah, Barbara Walters sat down to talk about her new tell-all book. She had plenty to say about her affair with the US Senator and keeping Star Jones' gastric bypass surgery a secret from the public. Star responded by saying,

“It is a sad day when an icon like Barbara Walters, in the sunset of her life, is reduced to publicly branding herself as an adulterer, humiliating an innocent family with accounts of her illicit affair, and speaking negatively against me all for the sake of selling a book."

Seems like Barbara doesn't really care about who she has to throw under the bus to promote her book, so tell us — is she going too far?

Yeah Barbara Walters is going way too far to sell books. She didn't need to talk about her bloody affair in the book even though it was part of her life. Did she think people would applaud her for it?

history just so you know i personally could careless what anyone perceives me as especially on a gossip blog, i know what i am, so I'm good with that, snowbunny you are right we know nothing about the situation of her affair, but we know that she willing slept with a man a married man at that not once but throughout the course of two years, that is whorish material, now if barbara had not know that he was married than she would be as much the victim as his wife, but when you willingly do these types of things that makes you a whore in my book, maybe not society, even if it was once, if you have knowledge that a person is committed to someone whether they are happy or not that is off limits

Barbara Walters is a old hag that talks like she's a mix between a stroke victim and a ventriloquist. She makes me sick! She cheated over and over again with a married man who had children. All she could think about was herself and her own lust! Just like she's doing now..thinking about how many books she can sell. SO F*CKING what if Star Jones had Gastric By Pass, it's her FREAKING BUSINESS NOT ANYONE ELSE'S!!! We know Barbara is loaded down with plastic surgery but I don't see her old as@ talking all about what she's had lifted and replaced!!! She's nasty and she's scum! Pink, if you were sleeping around with married men, that would, to me, speak more about what may be going on in your head (as there are as many reasons to engage in such behaviour as there are persons who do it).I for one would never, ever call you a whore, disgusting or otherwise. Because it is WRONG. W. R. O. N. G.Wrong. You may feel just fine in using such language, but I so strongly disagree with you on that stance that it's enough to alter my personal perception of you as a person.
