Pippa Middleton managed to steal the show from sister Kate at the epic royal wedding in April, Katy Perry sang her way to the top of the charts with a record-breaking five singles from one album, and the Kardashian clan captured everyone's attention for Kim's August nuptials and separation just 72 days later. Barbara Walters announced today that all three have made it onto her list of the most fascinating people of 2011. They're joined by some of TV's heavy hitters, like Simon Cowell, who brought The X Factor to the US, and two of Modern Family's men, Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Eric Stonestreet, who helped the show earn it's second Emmy in a row for Outstanding Comedy Series. But who will Barbara crown king or queen of this year's most fascinating? "Our pick for the most fascinating person of the year" Political figures have topped the list for the past two years, but perhaps Ms. Walters will lean toward the Hollywood crowd and go for Oprah, who signed off from her show after 25 years.
