Ben Affleck got a head start on his holiday shopping yesterday in Beverly Hills. The father of three is gearing up for his son Samuel's very first holiday season. Ben held down the home front last week while Jennifer Garner was at work on The Dallas Buyer's Club in New Orleans alongside Matthew McConaughey and Jared Leto.

Ben Affleck enjoyed some downtime after his directorial debut, Argo, was released in October to rave reviews, but he's already gearing up for his next project. There were reports Ben would be taking on the film adaptation of Stephen King's book The Stand, but first, he'll apparently return to his roots and reunite with his original writing partner, Matt Damon. The longtime friends will be teaming up for a mobster movie about Whitey Bulger.
