Beyoncé Sings the National Anthem at Her Super Bowl Press Conference!

Beyoncé Knowles gave the public a sneak peek of her Super Bowl halftime performance with a press conference in New Orleans earlier today. At the start of the Q&A, Beyoncé entered the stage in a white Olcay Gulsen dress and asked the press room to stand so she could sing the national anthem live. Beyoncé didn't stray from addressing the Inauguration Day controversy during the press conference, answering multiple questions about her lip-syncing. She said, "I am a perfectionist and one thing about me, I practice until my feet bleed, and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra [at the inauguration]. It was a very important, emotional show for me. Due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper soundcheck, I didn't feel comfortable [performing live]. It's very common in the music industry to sing with a prerecorded track, and I am very proud of my performance." As for her halftime performance, Beyoncé told the press that she will "absolutely" sing live. She added, "This is what I was born to do."

There had been lots of speculation leading up to the press conference that Beyoncé would reunite with Destiny's Child on stage for a special performance. She didn't say outright that the group would be performing together at the NFL Championship, but she didn't exactly deny that they were joining up together again. When asked about the reunion, Beyoncé laughed, "I can't really give you any details." However, she did note that recording a new track with the group for their new release, Love Songs, made her "feel like a teenager again." Beyoncé later changed into a bright red Antonio Berardi dress and gold heels for a second interview with ESPN correspondents Rich Eisen and Deion Sanders. She answered more questions about the big game and even showed off some dance moves with the hosts.
