A prequel movie for Sex and the City has long been rumored, and today there is a story that the leading ladies are in the process of being cast. With Elizabeth Olsen as Carrie Bradshaw, Emma Roberts would play Miranda Hobbes, leaving Blake Lively as Samantha Jones and Selena Gomez as Charlotte York. The franchise's creator, Candace Bushnell, has already written two books about Carrie's life before the HBO series that starred Sarah Jessica Parker. There are clearly stories to tell, but we're wondering what you make of these four actress tackling the iconic characters. So, tell us — would you like to see Blake, Selena, Emma, and Elizabeth in SATC?

I love Selena Gomez, but Charlotte York is not the least bit hispanic, so I'm really not seeing that... The others might work, though they look nothing like their grown-up alter-egos.

Glad to see that EVERYONE is on the same page that this is a HORRIBLE IDEA. Elizabeth Olsen is the only one that I could even remotely understand be considered for A role (not necessarily Carrie). Selena? Blake? NO!This is definitely a project for 2021 not 2011.

Is this a joke? Acting wise the only person I approve of is Elizabeth Olsen but she just doesn't belong in this movie. I think they need to leave this franchise alone for a 10 years and come back to it. The girls of young hollywood are very very disappointing. Where are the people who can act? They need to stop trying to shove Emma and Blake down my throat because I will not watch a movie that they are in. Period.

Selena Gomez as Charlotte? Really? She's super cute but umm...she looks nothing like Charlotte. Kristin Davis is super WASPy - that was a big part of Charlotte's character too. This casting is bad, the whole idea is bad, please Hollywood...don't do this!

That sounds like horrible casting. I still think with unknown actors who look like Cynthia, Kristen, etc that it just won't work at all. Leave it alone. I'd much prefer a third film with the original cast.

sure if you want to ruin the whole experience SATC was for its fans, what a stupid idea! Total money grab make a movie based on the Carrie Diaries sure, if the intent is that all of these girls play other characters other then Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte. Cause if the intent is to cast them as younger versions of the women, exactly where was there a latin female in the group, was I watching a different show.ok my last cent, who exactly would be the demographic for this new group? somehow I dont buy a disney princess and Emma Roberts sexualized in the manner SATC is known for, again..........lets not ruin a good thing, please?
