 @liverwurst  See lola25 beat me to it. The homes also cost more because they are state of the art green homes that will cost them next to nothing to maintain and designed to withstand the natural disasters of their area.

I see "Liverwurst" is one of Jen's cat lady fans,lol. Why don't you tell Jen to sell her 10,000 sq 21 million dollar home. And BTW get your facts straight...Make it Right has completed 75 homes as of LATE Feb. That's 75 families who WOULD NOT have a home if not for Brad Pitt!

 @Catherine2422911 Yes they do! Wouldn't it be wonderful if Brad and Angie sold at least one of their many mansions and used the money to help these fine folks? I mean they must feel HORRIBLE to go home to that 14 million dollar French Quarter mansion knowing that these women and children are still homeless. I mea after Brad headed the "make it right" these past 3.5 years, only 46 homes have been completed. Perhaps he shouldn't be designing these homes the way he does (what HE likes) and honor the local culture and style? Out of  $31 million collected and a desire to build 150 homes total at a cost of $200,000 a piece (small,less than a thousand sq ft) the community will not be completed for 12 years and thats too slow for many families to stick around. Again, Brad and Ange don't do anything unless they get something out of it for themselves. Brad gets to play architect on poor folks homes and look like a good guy while he's really just feeding his own ego.

Maybe with Ellen aboard they will get enough money to finish up.  A couple years ago I read they had enough for 100 houses. It's been years now and they still aren't done.  I donated in the beginning, there so many that need money now that I can't again. I read a article that said they still don't have stores or schools.
