After a brief (and, to be fair, made up) glimmer of hope for a Britney/Kevin reunion, the couple reached a settlement in their divorce yesterday. Since the couple's October split, there have been countless rumors of what the terms of the divorce would entail (mostly surrounding how much money K-Fed would walk away with). Details of the settlement are unconfirmed, but word is that Kevin will get something to the tune of $1 Million and will share 50/50 custody of their two children with fresh from rehab Britney.
I'll go with the safe bet and say this isn't the last we'll hear out of this divorce settlement. Hey, when we're talking about Britney, there's always fun rumors to be had! In the meantime, though, I'm gonna pour one out for Brit Brit and Kevin tonight. Spederline, we hardly knew ye.

well, finally he didn´t ruin her or try to take the kids away from her. He wasn´t the worst, as we all thought he was.

6Well he used to be a pretty classless prick, back when they were married. He treated her quite poorly. I mean he left his pregnant girlfriend to be with her. And not too long after the divorce he was itching to publish a tell-all book revealing all of her dirty little secrets.
But all that has changed.
I think her breakdown forced him to get over himself and to finally take responsibility for those boys. Many people appreciate the fact that he came through for his kids and that he was really supportive of his wife when she needed it most.
Both he and she seem to have grown a lot these past few months. Which is good news for the kids cause they desperately need parents that are adults, not overgrown adolescents.
7I am glad that they settled everything and things will be okay with the kids. The kids need both parents.
I admit I did not like Kevin. He has shown maturity and I am happy for that. I hope that he continues to be a good father to the boys.

10She isn't capable of looking after them full time anyway. This girl is all about me me me...She had kids because she wanted them not like she wanted toys. Brit is a loney chick deep down, I'm sure her mum feels guilty as hell for pushing her too much. Well the girl needs to know what it's like to be normal. It doesn't hurt just to be regular, being special all the time does her heading!

38The prenup also said he gets half the value of the home in Malibu, so he's got another (approx) $7 million coming. Some sources are saying that the "news" of their settlement for $1 million and shared custody is not accurate.
39Britney had a prenup. It has nothing to do with Kevin being a nice guy. I don't hate the guy, but it's not like he wanted to walk away with 1 million. His cash settlement is only 1 million, but he will get more from the house. I don't think it's really 50 percent, more like 20-30.
The kids - that is how it should be. Bottom line. Neither parent are perfect, but neither ever put their kids in any danger. Let them learn and try to improve for their children.

47actually, kevin ended up getting the kids 4 days out of 7 which is odd. usually the mother gets more time. britney must have really given him a lot of ammunition. She also has to pay him $25,000/month in child support and he gets to keep all the gifts she gave him.
