Britney Spears Records a New Song For Her Boys | Pictures

Britney Spears had a busy one in LA yesterday, hitting the studio and stepping out to shop. Early in the afternoon she tweeted, "I'm at the studio recording a new song for my boys. They are going to freak out when they hear it. So excited!" Fans were anxious to know what it was that Brit was working on, but she tried to quell their eagerness by adding, "It's a surprise so keep it shhhhh and don't be grouchy. I'll fill you all in soon!"

She treated herself after the few hours of work by heading out to run errands. After hitting the Rite Aid in West Hollywood's Sunset Plaza decked out in a sweatshirt and UGGs, she headed over to Target, where she emerged with a full cart — and a brand-new outfit. Britney also had a bottle of Orange Crush in hand as she headed back home. Brit's clearly keeping busy in the wake of her split from fiancé Jason Trawick. Some sources say, though, that Britney and Jason aren't over officially, despite calling off their engagement.
