If Britney's upcoming performance on How I Met Your Mother seemed too good to be true, here is your first look at the pop star on the set. She's going to play a receptionist who catches Ted's eye during a visit to the doctor's office. (Fun fact: Sarah Chalke from Scrubs is also making a guest appearance in the episode.) Britney's big debut doesn't air until next week, but you all can get acquainted with the fabulous show tonight when How I Met Your Mother finally comes back from writers' strike hiatus!

buttercup, Brit hasn't been able to be alone with her kids for months. The fact that she STILL won't take her evaluation says a lot about her priorities. You can't treat a condition properly until they know what is going on. So she is delaying the solution, and instead spending days on a set. You can list your excuses all day if you like, but it still doesn't erase the fact that she is not doing all that she can for her children. Getting evaluated and getting the proper help would be best for her children. Getting to have one on one time would be best for her children. It is pretty funny that you don't see the hypocrisy of calling other users names, while at the same time scolding them for being criticizing a celebrity. Yes, you are worshiping a celebrity.

hmweis, Trainwreck ALWAYS trumps normal. Sarah Chalke's guest appearance has been given afterthought status as well. I see exactly why Alicia Silverstone didn't want to do the episode...people would be more interested in "how was Britney" than her!!!

I'm glad she's getting better! I saw a little clip on people.com of the show. Non-air brushed and she looked good and the acting was great.

I like Chalke over Silverstone - but wasn't it discussed whether Silverstone's character would be Ted's eventual love? The part was cut down for Chalke, who is still filming Scrubs... so was that whole idea scrapped? Is the love going to just be offscreen forever? hm... (Brit will overact and be as annoying as she was on Will & Grace, but it isn't like she's joining the cast - can't ruin the show forever)

I agree with buttercupjey. Brit needs to focus on herself a bit ... get everything sorted out. And maybe if for Brit it means to get back to work then she is doing the right thing. I think she is doing great and looks like she is getting better. Although, she still has a long way to go. But that's normal cos the journey to get better is always harder and slower.

Look at MOST of the comments thus far...you honestly think being celebratory about another person's, another souls' suffering, be it being brought upon themselves or not, decent? really?? So easy to judge, so hard to walk in those same shoes isn't it? And what I said about taking care of oneself before being able to take care of others is true for everyone.
