Broody Beckham Tends To His Injury

Sad face Beckham. David was spotted ducking out of the doctor's office and into his awaiting car yesterday afternoon in LA. Becks' injured ankle was acting up again on the field Wednesday night and he had to be taken out of the game. While Victoria doesn't immediately strike me as someone who would like to wait hand and foot on David while he stays off his injury, she does seem like a wife who would be happy to have someone around to help. Hey, at least a little time at home would have to wipe that sad Manjoyment look off his face - how could those precious boys not make him smile?

People seem to be unreasonably negative about him. I love Becks and I don't really see why he should invoke such ire. First of all, that HUGE sum of money he was reported to make is supposed to include his endorsements. Those he rightfully earns whether or not he is injured because he is a very marketable celebrity worldwide. To be fair, I admit he may be getting old :( but I wish the public would cut him some slack on his injuries.

do people really think that he is known as one of the best players for the basic reason he is goodlooking... he played for man u, Madrid and was captain of England, gets a goal in nearly everytime he plays. there is a reason he is so bloody famous. i think people can be misled really easily

OliveBlack i had to correct you a little the former president of Real Madrid was notorious for wanting to break into the Asian market and break the English Premier League's hold over especially Manchester united as there is big money to be had as the economic boom continues. It's a well known fact that a major reason, over and above Beck's prowess on the field, for his move to Real was so that they could get into Asia because he is the King in Asia, the fans there are manic about him. At the time Real needed a serious boost in finances so it is not always about he is a good player as there is so much more in play than that in soccer especially with the big teams.

In response to notoriousrem's post- he is actually a good player. I do know a lot about football and I can tell you Alex Ferguson would never have had him playing for Man United, nor would he have gone to Real if he wasn't good at what he does. They certainly don't give a toss about a player's sex appeal, only whether they can help win matches. As for his recent form, he played well when he was recalled to play for England, and he played in the final matches of La Liga. His travelling back and forth to play internationals would not have helped with injuries, and he's now been dropped again, which is why he would be looking unhappy. Personally I think he should have stayed in Spain, he could have actually continued his career there rather than toiling in obscurity in America.

this is where the old theory continues to hold up: it doesn't matter how untalented you are or wast of space as long as you're "HOT" and a "MANJOYMENT" to others you'll continue to be "sucessful."why do i even bother on a beckham post? i've already said what i needed to say about them in the past here on pop but am glad people are expressing the same things i've expressed: LA GALAXY WASTED THEIR MONEY!
