Cam Gigandet

From the moment she belts out her first note, Christina Aguilera owns Burlesque. Her big voice echoes as she shimmies through each song and dance number while coquettishly winking at the camera. I'd even go so far as to call her hypnotic. If Burlesque was just an Aguilera stage show, it would be completely satisfying. Unfortunately, movies require actual plot and dialogue and when it comes to both, the film leaves much to be desired.

Burlesque starts the same way as most small-town girl stories: Aguilera plays Ali, a waitress in Iowa with dreams of moving to Los Angeles. She buys a one-way ticket, moves into a rickety motel (the kind that's so shady you apparently have to hide your money in the toilet), and scouts the newspaper for random jobs. That's when she spots a woman in fishnets outside of a local club called Burlesque. Ali is immediately entranced by the glamorous dancers, but to become one of them, she'll have to get the approval of the club's gatekeeper, Tess (Cher).

If Christina Aguilera's performance at the American Music Awards got you amped for the release of Burlesque, then you'll gladly dive into even more glam photos from the film. Though the movie doesn't hit theaters until tomorrow (watch the trailer again here), you can get a look at Aguilera's sequin-filled production numbers alongside supporting cast members like Eric Dane, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, and of course, Cher. We're still waiting to see if the film is any good, but one thing is for certain: it's definitely full of eye candy!

It's pretty much a rite of passage for stars of soapy series to take on horror movie roles. With that in mind, it's no surprise that upcoming thriller The Roommate has assembled a cast that includes Friday Night Lights' Minka Kelly, Hellcats' Aly Michalka, and Gossip Girl's Leighton Meester. (Cam Gigandet, who starred on The O.C., is here, too). It's a predictable, Single White Female for college students kind of movie, with Meester playing Kelly's new college roommie, Rebecca. They hit it off right away, but it's not long before Sara (Kelly) realizes that Rebecca's got a couple of screws loose.

The typical stalker behavior follows: Sara realizes that Rebecca has no friends and is on "medication," while Rebecca is quietly plotting to take down Sara's other friends and boyfriends. The trailer is worth a look just to get a chuckle at seeing Meester out of her prim and proper Blair Waldorf attire and into psycho mode. Check it when you read more

Coyote Ugly, Glitter — the story of a shy but talented girl trying to make it big isn't exactly fresh. In Burlesque, Christina Aguilera steps into the role as Ali Rose, a hopeful dancer who's desperate to get on stage at a burlesque show run by Tess (Cher) with her cohort Sean (Stanley Tucci). After that, it's like a game of spot-the-celebrity: Cam Gigandet pops up as the resident bartender (in eyeliner?), Eric Dane plays a love interest, and Kristen Bell is barely recognizable in a brown wig as a fellow performer.

Star ensemble aside, this trailer looks incredibly campy; it's hard not to smirk just a little when you have Aguilera acting coy (yes, this same Aguilera) and Cher making comments like, "When you are putting on your makeup, you're like an artist, but instead of painting on canvas, you're painting a face." But I have to give props to Aguilera, who still delivers goosebumps whenever she takes the mic (even though I did half expect her to sing "Lady Marmalade"). Cam Gigandet went out to lunch with his girlfriend Dominique Geisendorff and their daughter Everleigh at Toast in West Hollywood yesterday. The trio looked precious just a day before a big milestone for the family — Everleigh turns 1 year old today! Cam's Twilight days are long over, but he still earns lots of manjoyment heartthrob points being so sweet with his baby girl.

Jennifer Aniston showed off her killer legs out with her hairstylist Chris McMillan on the way into the wedding of their friend and fellow stylist Kelsie Gigandet. The bride's brother Cam Gigandet was looking hot all dressed up in a suit for Kelsie's big day. The Twilight star carried his young daughter Everleigh into the event and later smoked cigarettes outside the reception venue, Smog Shoppe, in LA. Jennifer looked fantastic in her simple black dress heading into celebrate her girlfriend's big day!

The U2 concert in Pasadena last night brought out many of Hollywood's biggest names. After a weekend with family, David Beckham attended with friends, while Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford turned up side-by-side. Paris Hilton came with her boyfriend Doug and sister Nicky, and Ashley Greene left the Gossip Girl gang to watch the show alongside fellow Twilighters Kellan Lutz and Cam Gigandet. Ryan Phillippe had a boys' evening out with BFF Breckin Meyer, as Olivia Wilde chatted with Ginnifer Goodwin. Orlando Bloom tried to go a little incognito as he played with a mask in the VIP lounge before the whole famous gang went to see Bono and the guys do their thing on stage.

Cam Gigandet went out to lunch at Cafe Med in LA yesterday with his girlfriend Dominique and their daughter Everleigh. Cam may have met his demise in Twilight, but he's still raking in the accolades for his work in the movie, and next weekend he's up for Best Villain at Spike's Scream Awards. We're rooting for him and also hoping that some of his costars, namely Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart, attend the show, where we'll get new New Moon footage. While we won't be seeing Cam in any of the rest of the saga, he has tons of new projects coming up. He's been shooting a dark and scary movie, The Experiment, and Kristen Bell will be joining him, Cher, and Christina Aguilera in the sexy musical Burlesque.
