Carey Mulligan took the stage for opening night of her play Through a Glass Darkly at NYC's New York Theatre Workshop last night. She, along with costars Ben Rosenfield and Jason Butler Harner, celebrated afterward with a private party at the Chinatown Brasserie. The assessments of Carey's performance are in, and it seems critics love her just as much as when she performed in The Seagull in 2008 alongside Kristin Scott Thomas and Peter Sarsgaard. The Through a Glass Darkly reviews rave about Carey. The New York Times said, "If you want to experience the shock of illumination that acting, at its best, can achieve — and only occasionally does — you need to see Ms. Mulligan’s performance."
