Courteney Cox is teaming up with Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence to try her hand at another TV series. After working together for her guest spot on Scrubs, Courteney will star in Cougar Town about a 40-year-old single mom who's trying to deal with the aging process. Courteney had big roles in Ace Ventura and of course as Monica on Friends, so tell us — are you excited that Courteney is going back to comedy?

I'm big fan of you Cortney, You have a beautiful family. I also have a BFF isn't it great since I was 5yrs old and one more since i was 11yrs old. I have never had one argument in my life with them we love each other unconditionally.

yes - i'm actually really excited about this one. i think that she did a good job on DIRT, but her roots seem to really be in comedy and that's what we know her for so i'm hopeful that this one will last for longer than 2 seasons. :) good luck COURTNEY!

I agree geeksugar, out with the ridiculous 'Cougar Town' title for the show. Courtney's not a very good actress, imo, anyway so I more than likely wouldn't watch her new show.

I love her. Comedy, drama, whatever she does. She is amazing.

I'm bias already given the 'situation' but she was the only one on Friends I could tolerate other than Matthew Perry. But I just see another Old Christine... the personality is the exact same and Courtney's not a character actress so what else would she play other than an older Monica as a mother? It wouldn't make me go back to watching television. I don't want to see 'MY LIFE' on television when it's not going to be authentic. :WAVE: Justingirl...I bet you Looove Scream. ;)

I chose maybe because I love the neurotic Monica Geller, but I don't think she'll ever match the brilliance of that character again.

My answer is no but not because I loved that she changed things up in Dirt. My answer is no because although she's beautiful, I've never thought she had any over the top talent. There are many other actresses I can think of in her age range that would do well at the role described. I agree Geek...get rid of that phrase. I like the premise of the show(it's my demographic and same struggle) but the phrase has got to go!

I absolutely adore Courtney Cox. I've been a fan since her Family Ties days. I am so excited to see her back on TV. I didn't care for DIRT, not because of her, but the show just didn't tickle my fancy. SHE did a great job though. I'll definitely be watching this one. Plus, I fall into the cougar category (By age only LOL) so it'll be funny to see!
