David Beckham faced the press yesterday to announce his resignation from the LA Galaxy, after news of his decision first hit on Monday night. David told reporters at the Galaxy's Home Depot Center that his last game with the team will be against the Houston Dynamo on Dec. 1. Team officials are wishing him well after his decision, describing David's years with the LA Galaxy as "tremendous." According to a statement released by the team, David was elusive about what his future holds, saying he "wanted to experience one last challenge before the end of my playing career."

David and Victoria Beckham moved their family to LA when he signed with the team in 2007, but now the famous family has their pick of places offering to accommodate David's "last challenge." Teams from Australia, China, and France are all in the running to sign him, but the highly sought-after athlete will have to consult his family on this one. Victoria travels for her fashion line frequently, and soon enough, all four of their kids will be in school.
