Ryan Reynolds joined Denzel Washington and Safe House director Daniel Espinosa for a photocall in Madrid today.

Ryan Reynolds joined Denzel Washington and Safe House director Daniel Espinosa for a photocall in Madrid today. The trio are kicking off their international press tour from Spain before making their way back to the States. Ryan and Denzel shot the CIA thriller in South Africa last year, and since then, Ryan's sparked up a romance with his former Green Lantern costar Blake Lively.

Blake and Ryan spent Thanksgiving together at her sister's Park City, UT bed and breakfast, Johnson Mill Bed & Breakfast, and then celebrated Christmas with his family in Vancouver. The couple were recently spotted on a romantic getaway to Louisiana where Blake and Ryan explored New Orleans on foot. Last night, Blake's 100th episode of Gossip Girl aired and it seems fans are one step closer to discovering Gossip Girl's true identity — get all the OMG moments from Blair's royal wedding including Georgina's return and Serena's big confession.

Safe House Trailer: Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds Play Good Cop, Bad Cop

The trailer for Safe House seems like a run-of-the-mill action flick, but the leading men — Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds — make the preview worth a look.

The trailer for Safe House seems like a run-of-the-mill action flick, but the leading men — Denzel Washington and Ryan Reynolds — make the preview worth a look. Washington plays a badass CIA agent named Tobin Frost, who's gone rogue and is sent to a safe house in South Africa. Reynolds plays eager beaver young agent Matt Weston, who has to move Washington's character to another location when the safe house falls under attack.

What ensues is a mind game, as Frost gets inside Weston's brain about the attack and maybe even convinces him to go rogue. The trailer is rife with explosions and high-speed car chases, but I'm hoping the actual film will have more substance than what we see here (which isn't exactly breaking any new ground.) The film opens February 2012, but see the trailer when you read more

Ryan and Denzel Play It Safe on Their South African Set

Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington teamed up to shoot Safe House in Capetown today.

Ryan Reynolds and Denzel Washington teamed up to shoot Safe House in Capetown today. Ryan, who earned a spot on the Vanity Fair Hollywood issue's star-studded cover, touched down in South Africa earlier this month to start shooting the thriller. He was even spotted looking sexy riding a motorcycle on set yesterday. It's been a while since we last saw your Valentine's Day dream date on the big screen, but he has two completed projects hitting theaters this Summer — The Change-Up and Green Lantern. He's also joining forces with Emma Stone on the upcoming animated movie The Croods. Ryan has been lying low and focusing on work since his split from Scarlett Johansson was announced just before the holidays, and while a flurry of rumors briefly linked him to his former costar and friend Sandra Bullock, she was quick to laugh off those stories.

Anne Hathaway and Denzel Washington kicked off their duties as the hosts of tomorrow's Nobel Concert in Oslo, Norway, today by attending a ceremony to honor this year's Peace Prize winner, Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo. Anne made the trip to Europe following a few days in Sydney promoting Love and Other Drugs at a photo call and red carpet premiere with Jake Gyllenhaal. This weekend's events will give the actress a chance to hone her onstage skills before February, when she'll join James Franco to emcee the Oscars.

Unstoppable: Entertainment at High Speeds

Full disclosure: I went into Unstoppable expecting to be bored.

Full disclosure: I went into Unstoppable expecting to be bored. How could a film about a train possibly keep me entertained for more than twenty minutes? But the movie is like watching a car chase on TV (and I mean that in the best possible way). There's not a ton of plot (it really is just a runaway train), and it doesn't dwell on character development — but you'll still get sucked into the nonstop action.

Chris Pine stars as Will, a railroad newbie assigned to work under the watch of veteran engineer Frank (Denzel Washington). It's their first day on the job together, and a challenging one at that. The fiasco begins when two dim-witted railroad employees working at a local outpost accidentally let one of the cargo-carrying locomotives get away from them. It's a classic scenario of whatever can go wrong, will go wrong, but that's not the case with the movie itself. In fact, the movie gets a lot right. To find out what I mean, read more

David Has a Bieber Reunion Then Talks to Seacrest About His Love For Tighty Whiteys

David Beckham joined his usual basketball buddy last night to watch as the Lakers beat the Rockets 112-110 during their home opener.

David Beckham joined his usual basketball buddy last night to watch as the Lakers beat the Rockets 112-110 during their home opener. Sharing the courtside luxury were Leonardo DiCaprio and Denzel Washington after his Unstoppable premiere. David was back at the Staples Center after bringing his sons to see a Justin Bieber concert there on Monday. Justin was likewise out again, sitting next to his friend Jaden Smith. Later today, David will be on the small screen when his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show airs. Becks spoke to Ellen about his plans to stay in LA for the duration of his Galaxy contract and Victoria came to weigh in on David's home making skills. Posh joked with David about his alleged cleanliness, saying, "He always says that he is tidy, but you're not actually that tidy — are you David?" David then replied, "We're going to have our first argument in 11 years!" David's on an interview roll, and today he opened up to Ryan Seacrest about his boys getting older, showing his underwear on the soccer field last weekend, and his fondness for briefs. David said:

  • On changing his shorts on the field: "We're not meant to, but I'd cut my finger at the start of the game and I kept wiping it on my shorts. The rules are that if you have any blood on your shirt or your shorts you have to change them, and since I had it all over my shorts I had to change them . . . to be honest the crowd was pretty quiet, so why not excite them a little bit?"
  • On wearing tighty whiteys: "Yes, I do . . . they're comfortable!"
  • On having "the talk" with Brooklyn: "We've had it with Brooklyn . . . it was more Victoria than me. I had to walk out of the room, because Brooklyn was looking out of the corner of his eye, like laughing, and I'm going, I need to get out of here because it's a serious talk!"

Ryan Reynolds Seeking Refuge in Safe House

Ryan Reynolds continues to get hearts racing: the actor is reportedly the top pick to take on a role in the upcoming thriller Safe House.

Ryan Reynolds continues to get hearts racing: the actor is reportedly the top pick to take on a role in the upcoming thriller Safe House. The script follows an agent (Reynolds) who is the sole survivor in an attack on a CIA safe house. As the last man standing, he's left with the task of bringing a dangerous prisoner (Denzel Washington) to a second shelter — as long as they can ward off men who want both their heads. There's been a long list of actors also up for Reynolds's part, including Zac Efron, James McAvoy, and Shia LaBeouf. No offense to Efron, but sounds to me like they're going with the right guy.

Denzel Washington and Chris Pine Ride a Runaway Train in the Unstoppable Trailer

If you're a So You Think You Can Dance fan, you may have once or twice pondered what, exactly, a "hot tamale train" is.

If you're a So You Think You Can Dance fan, you may have once or twice pondered what, exactly, a "hot tamale train" is. Well, I think I've found the answer. In Unstoppable, Denzel Washington is a veteran train conductor paired with newbie Chris Pine (of Star Trek), as they find themselves driving a train that will. not. stop. It's also loaded with hazardous chemicals, and the intense danger threat of this movie is high (there are kids on that train!). However, I'm not sure if this trailer has me excited for this particular movie, or just makes me want to Netflix Speed. Watch it and decide if you can take it when you read more
