Did Kanye Overreact At The VMAs?

Kanye gave some solid performances last night at the VMAs, but he was less than pleased about losing to JT in 2 categories. Apparently Mr. West had a tantrum backstage, saying, "That's two years in a row, man ... give a black man a chance. I'm trying hard man, I have the ... No. 1 record, man." He followed up today with an interview confirming that he has canceled all his upcoming appearances on MTV, citing a number of grievances against the network. We can understand his frustrations but do you think Kanye is just acting like a big baby?

I think he has a reason to be pissed. I'd be irate if I kept losing to JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE. He's hot, I'll give him that. But come on, his talent? Jeeze. Kanye is much better in my opinion.

I don't think JT deserved to win but Kanye IS being a big baby. He's a grown man! Susan Lucci was passed up, what 11 times? Of course she wasn't happy but did she throw a tantrum? Meryl Steep has been nominated like 13 times but has only won twice or thrice!! He needs to get over himself. It's just MTV. PS. I bought the album and I love it!!

Give a black man a chance? Are you kidding me? Alicia Keys has won multiple awards, performed on the main stage and killed at the VMA's. Chamillionaire, Beyonce, Missy, 50 cent, Mary J Blige...etc..have won a VMA award in the past. Unbelievable talent wins..not what the color of your skin. You really need to get over yourself Kanye..because alot of people are already over you. I've been over your cry baby ass when you got punk'd by Ashton. He's pretty darn talented, but he is a major DIVA. srsly. I only said yes because he was definitely being a big baby, but I don't think JT is all that great, either. I'm getting kind of sick of him. :O

As a society we want to rid the world of racism, but everytime anyone of a minority status says "its because I'm black", we take a step back in that process. Stop using it as an excuse...that's what is making half of the racism still exist...it becomes an issue because people like Kayne make it an issue... And furthermore, putting Britney Spears as the opening act not only made her look bad, but also was an embarassment to MTV, not because they supposedly "set her up" but because they let someone who clearly was not ready or didn't take it seriously be the opening act...makes them look like they dropped the ball on that part of the show...

i dont even listen to his music, and JT SOOO deserves it!!! i mean, the whole VMA's were rap performances pretty much so i dont know what hes talking about?? they had linkin park perform, which who cares because they dont do too much anymore, and thats like it....every other performance was rap so hes outta his mind saying "give a black man a chance..." and i hope 50 cent sells more records than him.

Kanye has always been a cry baby if he doesn't win. I think he is one of the biggest egotistical people out there. I like some of his music, but I don't like him as a person at all.
