John Mayer was in a festive holiday sweater for an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. He was there to talk about his new album Battle Studies and his tour, but conversation turned towards his well-publicized love life. John made the claim that he's taking a little time off from dating, as he's currently a little "freaked out" about his track record. It seems like a stretch to think that John will be able to stay away from the ladies, but tell us what you think — do you believe John is taking a break from dating?

Yes, he also mentioned this on the weekend countdown he hosted on XM how he wasn't going to be dating anytime soon because he was about to hit the road touring for a year.

Maybe he means that he's staying away from high profile relationships and resuming his random hookups with groupies, while he focuses on his music. Besides, who could pass up such a snazzy dresser ;)

It seems like his focus is his music so yes, I believe him. Also, maybe he's still not fully over what happened with his last relationship so he's trying to figure out what he really wants before he decideds to involve another person in his life...just a guess.
