Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer have had more than their share of breakup rumors, and today there's a new one. The latest is that he dumped her a few days ago after she returned from promoting Marley & Me in Europe. He did take to his Twitter just two weeks ago to reinforce his feelings for her, but it's hard to ever know what's really up in their roller-coaster relationship. So, tell us — do you believe the latest Jen and John breakup rumors?

i think that it would be really stupid for this nonsense to keep going on given that they are always so on and off. i don't know - i wanted them to work out - but i guess sometimes things just don't happen the way that you want. i figure that they'll probably get back together soon..since that's their MO.

john mayer was obviously not right for jen. they always looked odd together. she was always draped all over him while he kinda looked distanced. poor poor jen, lets hope jen finds the right guy soon

Although I think this is true, People has posted incorrect information often. As late as New Years Eve they were reporting that Mayer was hosting a NYE party in NYC, when he was already reportedly in Mexico. And even this article states they originally broke up in August 2007, which would be pretty amazing considering they didn't start dating until 2008.l

I agree that--as predicted by nearly everyone--it's right on schedule. He basically called it when he was informing everyone that he'd be in studio recording and we wouldn't see them out and about after the Oscar night appearance. The contractual obligations have been fulfilled. Another Hollywood rela-sham-ship of PR convenience is over. Next!

In the last few weeks, the former Friends star has been spending time with her close pal Courteney Cox Arquette and her yoga instructor-friend Mandy Ingber, while Mayer has been busy getting his new house ready and working in the studio. Previous Breakup This is not the first time Aniston, 40, and Mayer, 31, have split. In August 2007, they called it quits. At the time Mayer held an impromptu press conference outside his gym in New York, explaining to the media: "I ended a relationship to be alone because I don't want to waste somebody's time if something's not right." Still, lately the couple have seemed happy together. They met at a 2008 Oscar party last year, and were one of the hottest couples at this year's show after a surprise appearance by Aniston as a presenter, with Mayer as her date. Mayer later said he was there to offer moral support to his girlfriend. In a recent interview, Aniston said she didn't believe any relationship was perfect, or was meant to last a lifetime. One would think Jen needed douchey to hold her hand for the Oscar’s I suppose her X-husband being there with the woman he left her for would be a hard pill to swallow. I don’t blame her, hell I probably would’ve hired someone too just so I wouldn’t look like a total lonely loser. But this whole Mayer (player) thing is getting old. Oh Jen just coil up in a ball of pity and cry your eyes out again.
