Do You Think You'll Warm Up to the Name Zuma?

ICYMI, Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale yesterday welcomed their second son, Zuma Nesta Rock Rossdale. It's a little out there, but supposedly they took the first name from the beach in Malibu where Gavin had a life-changing moment. Nesta is the original first name of Bob Marley, and Rock pretty much speaks for itself. Even if you're not loving it right now, do you think you'll warm up to the name Zuma?

Zuma is a terrible name. It reminds me of a politician in south africa, Jacob Zuma. Just wiki the dude's name and you'll understand..

Super name! I loved the way she keeps to her likings surrounding the whole rasta scene. Hello!...she did name her first Jamaica's capital. Congrats!

Maybe they should have just name him Nesta Rock or Rock Nesta. Zuma killed it for me, I just don't like it.

I'd take Zuma over Michelle. Do you KNOW what it's like to be in a classroom with 30 students, 18 of those students are girls, and TEN of those girls are named Michelle? Well, I do, and it sucks. LOL

Personally I don't like it and since she isn't of Aztec descent I doubt it has any pacific meaning to her. The meaning of the name Zuma is "Lord Frowns in Anger". And Nesta isn't Bob Marley's first Name, it is Robert. Nesta is his middle name.

It sounds like a girl's name. However, all I can think of is the PC game, Zuma, where you spit balls out of the stone frog into an oncoming line of balls.

I think because I live in California and have already heard of Zuma Beach it's easier for me to adjust to it. Celebrities always name their children something unique -- regardless of if it's cute or not. I don't think Zuma is the worst name out there, and I actually like it.

I am a huge Gwen Stefani/ND fan (as you can see by my choice of avavtar), but I was still very shocked when I heard that she and Gavin chose Zuma as the name for their new son. I mean, maybe if it had been a girl, but it is so out there. I know, I know, kudos for originality, but still..., it does make one wonder a little. :-)

She's such a freaking appropriator in every sense of the word. Of COURSE she'd name the baby after Marley somehow.Glad its not Baby Harajuku, Asian Toy Rossdale...
