Does Britney Owe Her Fans An Emmy Apology?

This week has been nonstop stories about what went wrong at Britney's disastrous VMA performance last Sunday. Now, Us Weekly is saying that she is in talks to make an appearance at this Sunday's Emmy Awards. Apparently it would be some sort of public apology for disappointing everyone at the VMAs. Sources close to Brit aren't denying that this is in the works. What do you think - does Britney owe her fans a public apology?
