Easy Roasted Fish

Cooking fish is one of those things that seems complicated but really isn't. So I'm here with Bob Harper, who you know from The Biggest Loser, who's going to show us an easy and versatile roast fish recipe. I'm glad we're talking about fish, because I know that so many people get nervous about fish. They think that it's really difficult to make. A lot of people don't like the fact that it could be fishy tasting, or there's all these things. And that's why in my book The Skinny Rules I have plenty of fish recipes, because I think that it's a great protein. I think that it's really good for weight loss. And this one recipe is so easy, because I need things to be easy. So the first thing you want to do is you want to preheat your oven to 450 degrees, which I've already done. When this is already heated, because I want the fish to go onto a hot hot pan already, right? So I'm going to take my foil, drop that on there, I'm going to get the fish, but before I put the fish on I'll put a little olive oil. I like to control how many calories. that are going to be on it, so I'm going to spray it instead of just pouring. Exactly. And I think when it comes to people trying to lose weight, you've got to really measure things out at first. And I think that a lot of people get really bored with that out there thinking, uh, all this busy work, I don't really want to do that. But until you can train your eye to know exactly what a tablespoon of olive oil looks like, I really highly recommend that a little salt and pepper to taste. I don't do much salt because I just don't want all that sodium. However, with that, I've got. Yep, I already did the other side, that's all done. and now when you're roasting fish, you don't have to worry about flipping it. So easy. It's easy, so basically that's done. And I love it because the foil is getting heated as the pan is heated so it's almost pre-cooking. Right, so it's already cooking right now. So I'm going to go ahead and put this in here. All right, so after it's been cooking for 8 to 10 minutes, you want to take it out and let it sit for a minute, right? Yeah, it's really important because it's going to be hot, it's going to still cool down a little bit, and you're going to really get the flavor. Exactly, exactly, nice juices, that's great, and I love the tips you have in your book about additional things you can do with it. Other than a salad which looks beautiful and you're getting your colors make a sandwich, make some tacos, add it to pasta, make a soup. Make sure you have that pasta for lunch, not for dinner. Yeah, and whole wheat. And whole wheat. Yes. But this is delicious. Great, yeah, it really tastes good, too. And easy. I like easy. Thank you so much. Thank you.
