When the biggest names in Hollywood, music, and fashion get together, there are bound to be some friendly matchups, and that's just what happened at 2013's Costume Institute Benefit on Monday. Stars mingled with their famous friends, walked the carpet with their designing pals, and brought their significant others to celebrate the Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Go ahead and check out the fun duos at the Met Gala, including Jennifer Lawrence's Hunger Games reunion with Elizabeth Banks and Nicole Richie's run-in with Julianne Hough and Jaime King.
The looks from last night's Met Gala were long on embellishments — we saw our fair share of grommets, studs, and safety pins in an homage to this year's Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition. But for some stars, it was also short on fabric. We tend to believe it's always a little punk to show up to a black-tie affair (at the nation's largest art museum, no less!) in something ultrashort, so we'd like to pay our respects to the five stars who rocked minidresses. Gisele Bündchen left little to the imagination in an asymmetrical Anthony Vaccarello metal-hook minidress. Stacy Keibler showed up in a studded black Rachel Roy mini with sheer panel sleeves, while Elizabeth Banks went with a menswear-inspired gold Atelier Versace dress. Kate Bosworth put her long legs on full display beneath a structured, pink-beaded Balmain number, and January Jones, ever the red carpet risk-taker, paired a bold Genevieve Jones ear cuff with a sequined LBD by Chanel. In the minidress melee, whose look do you like best?

We have the third annual CinemaCon to thank for bringing together some of our favorite stars in one place: Las Vegas. Sandra Bullock, Elizabeth Banks, and Hailee Steinfeld are just three of the style-setters who made up this year's list of attendees — and we're looking to their dressed-up looks for serious cocktail-party inspiration. Without further ado, step inside to see who wore what at this year's CinemaCon.
To usher in the new season, Elizabeth Banks has taken her typically blond strands a few shades darker. The actress stepped out sporting a new chestnut color on her shoulder-length hair, showing off one of the more popular hair colors for Spring. What do you think of Elizabeth's latest dye job?
Catching Fire is still filming at the moment, but for those too impatient to wait for the film's Nov. 22 release, we've got a little treat. Behold, lovely character portraits featuring the stars of the Hunger Games sequel. Katniss, Effie, Haymitch, Caesar, Peeta, Gale, Johanna, Beetee, and Cinna have all gotten the royal treatment, and we'll be seeing more of the cast in the next few days. Check out the newly released portraits, and let us know what you think!
Happy birthday, Elizabeth Banks! On Feb. 10, the actress, producer, and director turns 39. Not only does Elizabeth Banks juggle a variety of jobs in Hollywood, she also plays a variety of characters — both funny and serious, TV and film. In last year's People Like Us, she stepped into the shoes of a single mom and bartender who builds a relationship with a man she doesn't know is actually her brother. She also tackled complicated sibling relationships in 2011's Our Idiot Brother, in which she played one of three sisters having to deal with their troublesome brother and his effect on their love lives. Whether she's playing a sloppy kisser at a Summer camp in the '80s or a strong-willed, workaholic CNBC news anchor, Elizabeth's notable TV and film characters always know what they want and how to go after it. So from the lips of Elizabeth Banks's characters, here's how to be a confident woman in your familial and romantic relationships.

A busy award season hasn't slowed down the Hollywood stars who spent this week hard at work on set. In NYC, Jennifer Connelly spent a day working on Winter's Tale with her daughter, Agnes Lark Bettany, by her side, while Colin Farrell took center stage on the same set later in the week. In LA, Elizabeth Banks brightened up the set of Walk of Shame in an all-yellow ensemble, and things got intensely funny on the set of New Girl in a scene with Zooey Deschanel, Max Greenfield, and Jake Johnson. Elizabeth Banks slipped into a sexy yellow dress to film scenes for Walk of Shame in LA yesterday. The movie follows Elizabeth's character's journey across LA after a one-night stand. During her latest day of shooting, she ran around on set in heels and covered up in a warm jacket in between takes. Elizabeth has moved on to the comedy now that she's wrapped work on Catching Fire. Some of the production on the Hunger Games sequel took place in Hawaii last year, and we've already gotten a sneak peek at pictures from Catching Fire.
Elizabeth, who has two sons, may be in the spotlight for her acting, but she's also in the headlines for her recent statements about parents with only one child. Elizabeth told People, "You don't realize how easy one is until you have two. Now I'm really a mom. Oh, I am a mom now! This is for serious — I am responsible for two people now."
