Ellen Page Interview on the Ellen Show | Full Video

Ellen Page and Ellen DeGeneres Have a Moving Talk About Coming Out

Ellen Page and Ellen DeGeneres shared a sweet moment about coming out as lesbians when the young actress dropped by the talk show host's program for an interview that will air on May 27. Page made headlines earlier this year when she came out on Valentine's Day in an emotional and heartwarming speech at the Time to THRIVE conference. DeGeneres said to Page, "Everyone has something that you're carrying around that you're ashamed of, and to carry shame around . . . First of all, it causes diseases; you just can't. . . . It's a horrible thing to be ashamed of yourself." Page explained that she is relieved to be able to go on set and talk about her exes or relationships and not feel as though she has to hide something. DeGeneres added, "To know you're another face that someone has hope for — because there's a lot of teenagers out there that are getting bullied every day or taking their own lives because they can't handle it."
