Kate Hudson wore Ann Taylor and brought Matthew Bellamy with her to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation's annual Hot Pink Party in NYC last night. The couple was joined at the charity bash by a Blumarine-wearing Elizabeth Hurley and Elton John, as well as fashion designers Michael Kors, Vera Wang, and Donna Karan. Kate was doing more than just walking the pink carpet; she also presented an award to Kay Krill, the CEO of ANN Inc., the parent company for Ann Taylor, where Kate serves as a brand ambassador.

Kate has been keeping busy in the Big Apple. She is currently promoting her new film, The Reluctant Fundamentalist, which will screen at the Tribeca Film Festival next week. Despite Kate's work duties, she and Matthew did manage to squeeze in time with their boys in the city ahead of their gala date.

Elton John's annual Oscar party benefiting his AIDS Foundation drew plenty of big names to the Pacific Design Center in Hollywood last night. Britney Spears showed off her new brunette hair color, while Miley Cyrus stepped out in a sexy white backless gown. Heidi Klum donned a revealing gold Julien Macdonald number and joined Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder, Jaime King, and more. After they posed on the carpet, the good times continued inside Elton's party for Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kelly Osbourne, and their friends. Miley even tweeted a fun photo of herself and Kelly kissing Elton with the caption, "Love this!"

Britney Spears showed off her new brunette hairdo when she attended Elton John's AIDS Foundation Oscar viewing party in LA last night. She wore a sexy black dress with a plunging neckline as she walked the red carpet, and later mingled with Elton inside the star-studded bash. This is Britney's first red carpet appearance since she announced that she was leaving The X Factor and had split from fiancé Jason Trawick. But she hasn't been laying low the past few months: she released a new music video for the remix of "Scream & Shout" with Will.i.am on Valentine's Day. Also, Britney reportedly has a new boyfriend named David.

Elton John's fete was the only Oscars-related party that Britney attended, but she wasn't the only star who dropped by — Miley Cyrus, Kelly Osbourne, and Kim Kardashian all celebrated Hollywood's big night at the event.

Miley's been getting in on the Oscars action over the weekend, kicking off the festivities at photographer Mario Testino's pre-Oscar party in LA last night. Kim Kardashian was another star to attend both Mario's gallery opening and Elton's annual party. She shared her excitement over on Twitter, saying, "I love Oscar Sunday! I can't wait to see what everyone wears!"

Elton's viewing party also brought out Heidi Klum, who reunited with pal Naomi Campbell for the fundraiser, which benefits Elton's AIDS Foundation. Elton and David Furnish even brought one of their adorable sons to join in on their festivities.

Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer attended Tom Ford's cocktail event in support of Project Angel Food in Beverly Hills last night. Anna wore a sexy black dress as she posed for photos with husband Stephen. The True Blood couple weren't the only lovebirds at the event: Henry Cavill had girlfriend Gina Carano on his arm, while Elton John brought husband David Furnish to the stylist fete. Girls star Allison Williams also dropped by in a stunning embroidered black-and-white frock.

The Tom Ford bash was just one of several pre-Oscars events that took place in LA last night. Neil Patrick Harris and his partner, David Burtka, suited up their twins in life jackets yesterday and joined Elton John and his family for a day of yachting in Saint-Tropez. Elton's partner, David Furnish, and their son, Zachary John-Furnish, relaxed in the sun while Neil and David showed Gideon and Harper the view.

The families kicked off their European getaway on Wednesday at Le Club 55 before hitting the beach and taking a motorboat ride. The vacation seems to be becoming a tradition for the friends who made a similar trip to the South of France last August. The couples' kids are close in age with Gideon and Harper turning 2 in October and Zachary following closely behind in December.
