Eva Mendes showed off a Spring look in lace Valentino at the launch of Vogue Eyewear's new campaign at Simon House in Beverly Hills yesterday. She's the face of the brand and posed in different spectacles for Mario Testino in its latest ads. Eva's back on the West Coast after spending a few days in NYC, where she took care of press interviews for The Place Beyond the Pines with boyfriend and costar Ryan Gosling over the weekend. Before heading home, though, Eva stopped by SoHo's Kiki de Montparnasse lingerie store and left with a bag containing a fake skull.
If you needed proof of the pretty effect — or wearability — of one of this season's biggest color trends, Eva Mendes safely supplied both with her appearance for Vogue Eyewear in a sweet Valentino dress. Her pastel fit-and-flare is both right on trend and incidentally a perfectly timed look to inspired your Easter-dress shopping. Of course, if celebrating Easter isn't in your plans, we can think of a number of other reasons that you might need a femme fit-and-flare confection in you arsenal — like a Spring date, wedding, cocktail party . . . we could keep going. For now, we've supplied a few of our favorite pastel dresses to get one step closer to channeling Eva Mendes's fresh Spring-feeling glamour.
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes got together for their Place Beyond the Pines NYC press trip on Sunday. The couple was spotted boarding a plane together in LAX, and later they joined up for a press conference shortly after landing in the Big Apple. In addition to Ryan and Eva, The Place Beyond the Pines stars Bradley Cooper, who wasn't with the couple for the first part of their trip, as he was busy hanging out with Josh Brolin and Michael Fassbender in LA. The film follows a former motorcycle stuntman who becomes a bank robber to support his girlfriend and their newborn child. The project holds special significance for Ryan and Eva, as it's where they met. It opens in the States on March 23.
While we reserve the right to dress down on our days off, we'd rather not succumb to our sweats when venturing outdoors. We're looking for something easy and effortlessly cool — and we're getting exactly what we want in Eva Mendes's latest look. The actress styled up a take on lighter denim that toes the line between pulled-together and totally laid-back. Bonus points: this outfit provides a mix of pieces you likely already have on hand in your closet, like a white V-neck t-shirt and long cardigan. But what makes it more eye-catching than your average jeans-and-tee combo is the attention to detail. She added a leopard-print scarf, cat-eye shades, and a heeled ankle boot, which can all work to infuse a bit of that Eva Mendes brand of sex appeal into your own off-duty gear. We've rounded up all the key pieces below; just shop them to get the look.

Not to play favorites, but if Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling are collaborating, I'm there. The trailer for The Place Beyond the Pines gave us a peek of Gosling as the blond motorcycle stunt driver who gets into some hot water attempting to provide for his family, but now we have an official poster. We'll have to wait until the movie opens in limited release on March 29 to see Gosling and Cooper square off in a game of cops and motorcycle stuntman robbers, but until then, you can see the full one-sheet after the jump.
It always warms our hearts to see a celebrity recycling a piece of clothing (we're looking at you, Kate Middleton and Michelle Obama), and when it happens in a few days' time, it's even more inspiring. Sure, we'd rather see Eva Mendes with her actual boyfriend, but we were happy to catch the actress styling up a pair of slouchy, distressed boyfriend jeans two different ways over the weekend. One day, Eva cozied things up by layering a black tank over a fitted navy-blue sweater and pairing her jeans with tan Isabel Marant wedge sneakers. The next day, Eva went for another laid-back look, this time with a billowy striped button-down and neutral ankle booties. For both daytime outings, she carried a sleek, two-toned leather crossbody bag and retro cat-eye shades — the perfect low-key accessory for an afternoon spent running errands.
