Rihanna Emerges For The First Time Since Grammy Eve

Rihanna was spotted around LA in a car on Thursday night, the evening before her 21st Birthday. To celebrate her, we took a look back at her remarkable career so far. This afternoon she released her first statement thanking her fans for their support and saying that she "remains strong" during this difficult time. As we have said before, there's more healing to come but for now seeing Rih looking gorgeous hearing her speak of strength is pretty incredible.

The picture being publicized is doing her no favors. All it is doing is helping the media sites. I hope she doesn't get the image of being a "poster child" for abused women because of that. She is very young and her career is moving along without that kind of publicity.

It's going to take a while to get rid of the doubt, shame, stress, and insecurity that comes with domestic abuse but she will rise above it. If I could say one thing to her I would say : Meditation. It helps and restores. People like sympathy in shitty circumstances but when you pride yourself on being independent and strong situations like these can make the whole "Victim" process uneasy. Even more so when being a Celebrity. Yoga also is amazing for healing.

I absolutely agree with Louie. As much as I love gossip, people taking and posting pictures of her during this emotionally difficult moment is highly innapropriate. She probably doesn't want people following her around and posting pictures of her battered face on the internet. Stop it during this peroid of time, it's an invasion of privacy. And right now, that's what she needs the most. Good luck to her.

I'm so sick of this site for posting photos of celebrities in what is obviously extremely private moments, whether it's of them taken over fences, long lenses or of someone going through something intense like Rihanna. I stopped visiting Popsugar for a few weeks for this reason and I think I'm going to do it again. I can't be a part of this invasion of privacy anymore. Walking down the street is one thing, a photo like this is something else altogether.

I wonder how much makeup she had done just to go out for this drive.. her face couldn't have healed this quickly if that picture is real. You can't see any bruises or cuts at all... Pretty sad that even though she isn't in thr front seat of the car, and the windows are probably tinted, some crazy paparazzi still knew she was in this vehicle? If this situation is true why wouldn't they leave the poor girl alone for now.

i think this is a sad situation, but i also think its good that the photo was released, there are so many people defending chris brown that i think that the picture has put it in perspective a bit, that he didn't just slap her (which would still be bad) but he really beat her up. She looks like she has so much makeup on in this picture above, and i dont blame her... this must be incredibly difficult for her. the saddest part to me is that this is something that happens to many women and children (and yes sometimes men) throughout this country, and this is the most press domestic violence has gotten in a long time
