Forbes released its annual Top-Earning Hollywood Actresses list based on the salaries they acquired from June 2008 to June 2009. Angelina Jolie earned the most with $27 million, narrowly beating out Jennifer Aniston, who brought in $25 million. Meryl, SJP, and last year's winner, Cameron, made the top five while Sandra, Reese, Nicole, Drew, and Renée rounded out the 10, which included a few ties. Many of these ladies have had blockbuster hits this past year, and Reese and Nicole were number one in 2007 and 2006 respectively. Tell us — are you surprised these are the 10 highest-paid actresses in Hollywood?

Might I remind comment #22 that Cameron Diaz is infact Cuban/American. Just because she has light skin and hair doesn't make her any less Hispanic.

WOW-I can not believe that they are paid so much. For what. Who makes that much money. No meter how hard you work or what you do, nobody should make that much. Why this whole money is not distributed little bit better amongst hard working people, people who can not work due to illness etc...

Nicole Kidman is the best. I'm happy that Australia and Golden Compass have turned into blockbusters worldwide. Golden Compass is, like, the 100th top-grossing movie. Good job Nicole, keep it up!

The top five pictures are right on, but the bottom five i'm still questioning. i guess Sandra Bullock will definitely be on next year's list due to the hit "The Proposal".

This HAS nothing to do with talent. This list is the MOST money generated by the actors. Angie should be at #1 since she is the highest paid actor in HW and all the rags that follow her every move, that generates mega money. Jennifer is #2 due to the residuals she gets from "Friends" playing over and over and that drinking water endorsment plus the rags. All of the other entries are due to movies and magazines. No talent involved.

You guys have to realise some of these actresses get paid much more in advance.. And a lot of the time its about who gets more magazine covers than talent. Its truely sad. With Kate W's talent she should be number 1. Jen is hardley a good actress.

not surprised jen aniston and sarah jessica's on the list. they make serious moolah off friends and sex and the city residuals. drew and sandra, because they also produce in addition to acting. cameron diaz i'm a bit surprised because she hasn't had a big hit in a while (shrek??). the rest are on the list because they're oscar winners.

Oh. And Angelina is great because she won't take the stuck up bitch roles that only Aniston and Diaz can pull off. But chooses to take roles that are anything but the beautiful, eff-me girls like the aforementioned businesswomen.

I was thinking that too... wow look how far 'America' has come with ethnic representation in films. Not. First of all Aniston would get fired from community theater. Diaz has always gotten by off connections. And Drew is a frickin' Barrymore. It has nothing to do with talent except in the case of Meryl, Reese and Sandra. The rest are specifically typecasted to their personalities. They aren't able to act but merely follow directions. They sell movie tickets to people who don't want to think; Weird Al Yankovich sells CD. Big effin deal.

Jennifer Aniston should have been #no 1 not Angelina shes not all that great of an actress nor not the most beautiful woman in the world. Jen and the rest should all be up there. Wow you all must be so upset Jen makes so much money..Are you fucking kidding me?Angelina Jolie won two golden globes, and Oscar and has received countless award nominations. When was the last time Jennifer Aniston win an award, other than the people choice awards?
