Nobel Prize-winning author Gabriel García Márquez died at the age of 87 on Thursday. The Colombian author of celebrated books like One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera was known for his unique, fantasy-meets-reality style of writing, known as magical realism, and he won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1982.
