George Clooney Switches Gears to Talk The Descendants at Telluride

George Clooney joined his Descendants costar, Shailene Woodley, and director Alexander Payne yesterday for a Q&A session during the Telluride Film Festival. He was there as the star of the movie after a stint in Venice, where he was the force behind the lens representing The Ides of March. It's shaping up to be a busy Fall for George between the two projects — The Ides of March, out on Oct. 7, and The Descendants, which hits theaters Nov. 23. The Descendants reviews are already good, and some are even mentioning Oscar nominations for George and Alexander! Despite the multitasking George has nonetheless found time to play host to famous friends, like Cindy Crawford, Rande Gerber, and Bono at his Lake Como pad, in addition to moving on from ex Elisabetta Canalis with rumored new interest Stacy Keibler.

LOL. He's neither gay nor a womanizer. He's afflicted with an unflattering Hollyweird persona thanks to several years of horrible p.r. machinations. He seems to have put his foot down regarding that, however, as he's not dragging any publicity escorts onto the red carpets with him this year. Hopefully people will focus on his work, now, rather than the trashy publicity stunts of the past.

I think it would be awesome for him to come out finally like Ricky Martin. I don't know why Clooney and Anderson Cooper are still pretending to be straight. It's stupid, the world has changed, time to be yourself.
