"Yes I learned that I should adopt like 20-year-olds, instead of younger."
George Clooney told us he's nowhere near ready to have little ones of his own and joked that if he ever went down the path to parenthood, his children would have to already be in their twenties. At the LA premiere of The Descendants Tuesday night, the man of the hour also told reporters that while he may play a father and husband on screen, America he's not sure his fans are ready to see him in that role in real life.
"I hope not but it was fun to do."
Still, he did have fun playing dad to Amara Miller, particularly watching her learn the ropes on her first movie ever.
"It was fun I got to work with Amara, it was her first film, so that was actually fun because she didn't know that you would actually have to do a lot of takes. So the first time they brought a bowl of ice cream out and she just pounds the whole bowl of ice cream and I just let her do it and then seven takes later she's eaten like seven bowls of ice cream. She literally didn't make it to work the next day.
As far as expanding his family offscreen, for now, it seems Mr. Clooney is content keeping company with girlfriend Stacy Keibler, who wowed in a daring dress for the night out. Cameras captured the couple engaging in some sweet PDA on the red carpet, with Stacy looking smitten as George kissed her hand.
"I was so so so excited when I found out I basically threw a party with my family."
"Well first of all you slowly hang up the phone and then you scream and dance around about 20 times."
We got some of the film's ladies to reveal their reactions to getting the call they'd be working with George, while the movie's men spoke about what it's like to be with him on set.
"George is such an amazing guy to work with he's got an amazing sense of levity and humor and immediately when he walks into a room, everyone's mood just brightens a lot, he's really cool to be around."
Clooney is everything you want him to be — great guy, charismatic, charming, lovely, talented, and you just show up and want to be present and what he throws you want to throw back. It's like playing one on one with Jordan or Kobe Bryant, you don't want to suck.
"George is already garnering some award season buzz for his role in the film, but he told us his goal is to enjoy making movies and not worry about the rest."
"It's a way long time from now, and you know I like making movies and I like making them hoping that they'll last longer than opening weekend and enjoy it and other than that I don't worry about the rest of it, I just try to do movies. It's a good movie."
