ESPN's Hannah Storm Delivers a Powerful Message to the NFL

ESPN's Hannah Storm delivered a heartfelt and emotional message to the NFL during Sunday's SportsCenter, addressing the league's alleged mishandling of a video of former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice beating his future wife, Janay Palmer, in an elevator. As a longtime football fan, Hannah got personal about the NFL's domestic violence issue, saying that she had to explain the situation to her children. Hannah said, "What does all of this mean for the future? What does it mean for female fans whose dollars are so coveted by the NFL — who make up an estimated 45 percent of the NFL's fan base?" She added, "What exactly does the NFL stand for?"

Despite video footage surfacing in February of Ray carrying an unconscious Janay out of an elevator, the NFL did not cut Ray until last week when a longer version of the clip — which showed Ray punching his then-fiancée twice in the face — was leaked online. The NFL claims that they did not see the video until it was posted online, but there are some reports that contradict that claim.
