Michelle Williams cozied up to her My Week With Marilyn costar Dominic Cooper last night at a London party for her film Blue Valentine. The duo have been shooting together for the last month, even enjoying a brief cameo from Emma Watson. Ladies man Dominic, though, has had enough time off to make the party rounds and hang out with January Jones. Michelle and Dominic mingled with producer Harvey Weinstein, whose company is behind both the Marilyn Monroe project and the movie they were celebrating yesterday. Harvey, Michelle, and Ryan Gosling are all united in their frustration at Blue Valentine's NC-17 rating, and they're apparently getting a legal team together to battle the label they think is unfair. Michelle, who's looking good with Ryan in their new poster, is also said to be worried that the NC-17 association will diminish their chances at the Oscars next year.
Carey Celebrates Her New Role at a Fashionable Bash With Gossip Girls and Olsens
Starlets convened in NYC last night for the annual CFDA Fashion Fund Awards. Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen stuck with their black routine to pose at the event, and Blake Lively had a similar thought in her lace dress. Her Gossip Girl buddies like Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick also turned out as their latest episode, full of OMG moments, aired on the small screen. Carey Mulligan was decked out in sequins to celebrate the good news that she's been cast as Daisy in the upcoming remake of The Great Gatsby. The actors were all on hand to see which designer would take home the organization's grand prize, and Billy Reid was the winner, followed by runners-up Eddie Borgo and Prabal Gurung.

Halston CEO Bonnie Takhar Reportedly Ousted by Board, Leaving Brand President Sarah Jessica Parker Upset
>> Upheaval at Halston, once again: CEO Bonnie Takhar, who has been with the brand since relaunch in 2007, is exiting the company. Creative differences are reportedly the reason Takhar was let go.
Sarah Jessica Parker, who joined the house in January, taking an equity stake and the role of president and chief creative officer, was reportedly upset after learning that the Halston board requested Takhar leave the company. A source told Page Six: "Sarah and Bonnie had a meeting on Friday in Halston's offices to discuss problems with the latest collection. Sarah has been a strong supporter of Bonnie for a very long time, and has been the sole voice supporting her against the board and shareholders. She has been fighting this for a very long time. She believed in Bonnie. She was emotional and upset because this finally came to a head."
Halston board member Harvey Weinstein, meanwhile, released a statement, "Sarah Jessica is a huge supporter of Bonnie's, but it was time to change direction. It was the rest of the board that made the decision. No one was more steadfast to Bonnie than Sarah Jessica."
Spring 2011 New York Fashion Week: Marchesa
We can always expect show-stopping dresses at a Marchesa presentation, and its 2011 Spring collection didn't disappoint. At all. Upon entering its intimate space at the Chelsea Art Museum, we were first treated to an enormous ebony and pearl gown of endless tulle inspired by what Keren Craig and new mom Georgina Chapman called "an Orientalist journey."
Then they departed from that idea with a series of baggy lace jumpsuits and laser-cut floral minis. Georgina's supportive husband, Harvey Weinstein, held court while she hung back and did press with Keren. Other notables like Molly Sims, Petra Nemcova, and Olivia Palermo turned out — Kelly Osbourne put up her new long hair and told us she's so excited to see lots of camels, corals, and beiges this season since "they look really good on me when I have a fake tan!" Georgina and Keren stuck to a palette of ivory, mint, and rose, giving us their latest crop of dresses bound to be spotted on future red carpets. One more cool thing about this presentation — we spotted some kind assistants walking around and actually feeding the models peanut M&Ms and apple juice! Amazing.

>> Georgina Chapman Had a Girl! —34-year-old Georgina Chapman gave birth to her first child, a girl named India Pearl Weinstein, with 58-year-old husband Harvey Weinstein on Sunday night, according to friends. "Mother and daughter are doing great," added one. Weinstein has three daughters from his first marriage. Although Marchesa's Fashion Week presentation is just over two weeks away on Sept. 15, Chapman said earlier this month that she planned to be present. [NY Post, @jimshi809]
Dream Couple of the Day — Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams Hold Hands at Cannes Blue Valentine Premiere!
Be still our hearts. Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams clasped hands this evening at the Cannes premiere of Blue Valentine. Earlier in the day the duo killed us with their photo call chemistry, and now there's even more eye candy. He traded in his more casual daytime look for a sharp tux while she glowed in her flowing gown. Could all the hand-holding please mean something — kidding, mostly. Ryan and Michelle clearly have a dear affection for each other, and we can't help but dream that it could translate into a real life love.
Ryan and Michelle were once again joined by their onscreen daughter Faith Wladyka, whom Ryan twirled around during her big red carpet moment. He's so cute and playful with his 6-year-old costar, whose dress held some fairytale wisdom to celebrate the unconventional love story. Harvey Weinstein came out to honor the film, which his production company picked up soon after its Sundance debut. We'll be adding more photos as they come in, and catch up on all our Cannes coverage here!

Marchesa's Georgina Chapman and Harvey Weinstein Are Expecting
>> Gisele Bundchen was snapped yesterday in Paris with four-month-old son Benjamin, who just came from his first visit to Bundchen's native Brazil. And today, news comes from New York that another fashion figure is pregnant — last night at the New Yorkers for Children gala, Georgina Chapman announced to friends that she and husband Harvey Weinstein are expecting this Summer. "We're so excited!" Chapman said. "I'm five months along, but this dress hides it pretty well!" Chapman wore a white swing minidress from Marchesa's Spring 2010 collection.
Weinstein and Chapman were married on December 15, 2007 at their home in Newport, Rhode Island. This will be the first child for Chapman, 33, and the third for Weinstein, 58, who has two daughters from a previous marriage.

What Have Psychics Gotten Right About You?
Inglourious Basterds producer Harvey Weinstein is feeling fairly confident about the Oscars. Last year his wife, Marchesa's Georgina Chapman, went to a psychic who said he would be very lucky next March. At the time, the Oscars were scheduled for February, but a week later they were moved to March 7. The violence lover in us hopes she's right!
I've had two psychics give me nearly the same, dead-on predictions, turning me from full-on skeptic to a semibeliever. Has a psychic ever nailed your past, present, or future?
Marios Schwab Shows Off His First Outing at Halston for Fall 2010
>> Last night, in a dimly-lit warehouse space in New York's Hell's Kitchen, Marios Schwab unveiled his first collection for Halston. The house has had a rocky past since its namesake designer died in 1990, not excluding under the current management of Harvey Weinstein; in other words, the pressure was on for Fall 2010, with the feeling very do or die.
The models stood, sat, or lounged in a mirrored set, full of linear and geometric shapes, showing off their largely monochrome looks in a variety of colors. There was plenty of draping to go around, but also a bit of stiffness — one tan dress had a barely detectable pentagon shape coming out of its center. Marios, mingling with the crowd, explained that he was less interested in the Halston archives — he only used his memories of the pieces — and instead focused on the Halston idea of creating timeless pieces for strong women. He said of his Halston girl: "She is open minded. She is the daughter of the original Halston woman.”
Harvey Weinstein and newly-named Halston president and chief creative officer Sarah Jessica Parker, too, were on hand — the latter overheard saying when she arrived, “Excuse me, I have to meet Marios!” before congratulating the designer. Kate Young styled, and Schwab had London-based jeweler Jacqueline Rabun create silver accessories — including ear cuffs — in organic shapes remniscent of Elsa Peretti's work for the original Halston.
Puff-strapped sandals caught the eye of many, but on a whole, Cathy Horyn was still not convinced:
Marios Schwab, the latest designer at Halston, appeared to struggle in his first effort. A handful of fluid silk jersey dresses looked Halston-ish. But it was hard to see how his lineup of stiffly constructed dresses and twisted velvet chemises varied significantly from his own label in London. It’s not that Mr. Schwab has to adapt his style to the heritage of Halston. Who remembers exactly what that was, anyway? But the two sides need to stop fighting so much.
