Sorry Europe. We know it's going to be depressing for you to miss your man Beckham but don't worry, we are greeting him with open arms starting with a super hot photoshoot that we are still drooling over. We can't wait for his arrival to the US and the soccer field in LA. This Friday he will be officially introduced to the LA Galaxy in a press conference. Hopefully his ugly two-toned hair will be fixed but either way - let the countdown begin and enjoy the cute ESPN commercial to help get you in the greeting Beckham mood!
KIt's so weird to see a major soccer star go to the land of the living dead that is soccer in America. What a way to end your career. Blech!!!
1I'mm sorry to tell Europe is not sad about it...here in Spain they were sick of them
2Don't think he will impact much or cause a crazy surge in ticket sales for the soccer league cos really it's the chicks who are drooling over him and i don't know many women who are willing to suffer through a 90 minute+ game which will probably suck just to catch glimpses of Becks. He's got a lot to live up to and a lot of catching up to do if he wants to be the D-Wade and Lebron James and Tom Brady of soccer.
3AS long as he's not playing for Madrid anymore I'm very happy, no more galacticos the old Real Madrid is back.
4thats cute - love it.

6I think David Beckham is so good looking. I am jealous of Victoria for having him! LOL!
7super odd that he'd be coming to america for soccer and i agree that it's primarily the ladies who are into becks. nonetheless ... dayum he's a hottie! just don't know if a pretty face is enough to do much of anything here in the states sports or celebrity-wise.

9Oops!! Didn't get to finish my comment. Sorry but the whole Beckham clan totally bores me.
10hotness
11Actually, I doubt too many Spaniards would cry over his (and especially his wife's) departure. From what I've heard, even players were not fond of the Beckhams' press attention. Besides, Real Madrid didn't want him anymore since he would basically be riding the bench if he continued there.
As much as I think he's a wonderful sportsman, I doubt he'll have much (if any) success here.
12hehe cute video
13I just want to see him naked..that is all.
14i cant wait i really hope he gives soocer more appeal it is way batter than baseball...
15I totally agree with nya. Americans don't care about soccer. Oh and everyone who said they were already bored with the beckhams. Perhaps Becks can try acting in a soap opera and get an acting career going?
16let him live his life he is doing what he wants and enjoying himself with his family... but yeah Americans and soccer dont mix... they suck.
Luving the Beckhams
17
Haha like the commercial. It's pretty sad that we have to miss him here.
18I know you aren't saying that Americans suck because we don't like soccer.
19Jenna act in a soap opera?
with that hideous voice? I don't think so. It's sad how a man can
look so masculine with the scowls etc but when he opens his mouthall that comes out is a high piched squeal.
20I have never heard his voice but I have heard SOOO many people comment how bad it sounds
He
just looks like a soap opera person though
I love my GH and OLTL but lots of the peeps on
there are soooo cheesy.
21That commercial is really cute!
22overrated!
23I wish he never left, we are gonna miss him!
David, Bernabeu will always be your home! Sempre Real!
24Jenna, I sure hope that's not what I'm reading.
And I will go on record being one of the *ONLY* women who do not find him all that attractive (did I just say that?)
25Let me add myself to that list, FB.
26Oh and Posh just looks like a cross between the fembot thing rom Austin Powers and ET with a rack. I do, however, love her hair.
27He is hot!
28Jenna
you didn't think she was "hot" in those photos from yesterday? come on!!
:
29It's not just his squeal of a voice but the man giggles.
30The man giggles?? Now I really have to hear what he sounds like...
31Back in the 70s, Pelé made soccer big in America, if only for a short time... and I think Beckham will have similar success for the few years he has left before he retires completely. If ticket sales are any indication, I'd say there are still quite a few futbol/soccer fans here in the US that will pay to see Beckham play with our guys... and many women, including myself that will sit and watch a futbol match hoping to see him bend in a free kick. Look at how many women go to American Football games or baseball games, which can be slow paced and boring... at least with soccer is fast-paced and exciting, kind of like hockey.
32It's awful, the first time I heard him speak was at the conference with Real Madrid announcing he was coming over, oOMg when he said hala madrid I almost peed on myself. He sounds like a carson cressley(is that how you spell it) on acid. Anyways Jenn I love OLTL, I love it but I am upset about Evangeline WTF were they thinking.
33I remember watching a documentary about soccer and them saying that even Pele had failed to ignite the same passion in the US the rest of the world has. LA Galaxy vs European football hmmmm, it's not even a contest. I can barely sit through 5 minutes of it on ESPN, but I watch every European league I can. It's just so boring in the states.
34Americans don't like soccer? Well I have to disagree. I know many people whose kids play soccer rather than peewee football. I also happen to enjoy it:) So, it's not that we don't enjoy soccer, it simply doesn't get as much press attention as football and baseball. Hopefully David's arrival will help raise interest. And if his fan base is largely composed of women, so what? Women can't be legitimate sports fans? Last time I checked my calendar we were living in the year 2007.
35the comments are acting up again.
36beckham is the most overrated footballplayer in the history. Ok he can play but so can others. Sick of him ever since he went to madrid. But apparently he's good at selling shirts not only for his club but also for 2 idiots at D&G who made a whole stupid beckham collection with dumb shirts with a 7 on it. It's just too much for someone who isn't that good. And than everyone wanted his hair, and than he cheated. It's like he's everywhere. Too much, too much. So america can have him, but when you're sick of him too you have to keep him.
37i'd rather watch ronaldinho play even though he's ugly.
oh if only the americans were actually as excited as in the Ad.
38I'm still down, as a football fan I think Becks living us for the MSL was the dumbest idea EVER
don't get your pantis in a bunch over a comment people jees. Who said women can't be
legitimate sports fans, read the comments carefully and don't try and read between the lines lol cos there are none. Kids football popularity doesn't translate into a successful soccer league
that's taken seriously internationally. I mean hey rugby is popular in Newfoundland but even though rugby has fans here it isn't enough to make it bigger than ice hockey.
39Honestly if soccer was that hot in the Us you'd have more to be excited about than a soccerplayer who is probably going to retire in a few more years and more stars willing to move there to play soccer. I'm sorry but I just can't take US soccer seriously. I just can't..
40Why does America insist on taking all of the 'Euro Trash' and making them into celebs here??? Its so annoying, why is this country so obsessed??? No one gives 2 sh*ts about him in Europe anymore, he is a washed up soccer star and she was in the Spice Girls like 10 years ago. I wish we would stop making these greedy people into God's, this has to be the most overexposed couple and for what? Because they are moving to L.A.? BFD. Seriously. I have been playing soccer for over 20 years, it was never immensely popular here and it never will be even with Beckham here in the states. Its a European sport that requires a tremendous amount of running and conditioning and we all know that American's arent down with either of those 2 things. I cant believe this society is force feeding these people down our throats and I hightlu doubt that he will change the world of soccer in this country. There have been WAY HOTTER and more talented soccer stars here in the States the sad thing is that they never got any recognition like this before. America is such a sad, sad place sometimes.
41LOL! I wish americans were that excited, but they are not.
42I'll really miss Beckham for he was an awesome footballer :/
Does anyone remember David before Posh???
43And please the only reason he is coming here is cuz his career is at the end and this country was the only place willing to pay him an obscene amount of money...Sickening.
44why won't the comments work?
45He won't be the best paid footballer in the world anyway so all that fuss was for nothing the best paid footballer will apparently be Frank Lampard who plays for Chelsea in England.
46He's hot but I couldn't care less about soccer.
47Nyara, the comment thing is driving me nuts...mine won't work properly either.
Notorious - right on! I couldn't agree more. I've read (and once again my disclaimer that yes obviously this is just a rumor) their whole marriage is a farce, and that now it's Becks with all the $$ and that's why Poshie poo stays.
DO they honestly think they can wh*re themselves out to the American public? Apparently so...I'm not buying it!
48i just can't stand Becks i find him completely overrated and over paid.
49FB I agree about the marriage thing, she made Becks what he is but now she would be nothing without him. They are a brand and she can't afford to leave him.
