Nothing Was Off-Limits in Hillary Clinton's Candid Interview

Jun 10 2014 - 9:45am

Hillary Clinton touched on everything from President Obama to Benghazi to Monica Lewinsky in her interview with Diane Sawyer on Monday. Clinton's book Hard Choices [1] hit shelves on Tuesday, and ahead of its release, she sat down with Sawyer to talk about personal challenges, public life, and, yes, running for president. One of the more buzzed-about moments came when she talked about being "dead broke" after the family's time in the White House. Legal fees left them with between $2.28 million and $10.6 million in debt [2] in 2000, but thanks to appearances and Bill's speaking fees, they paid off the debt by 2004. For Clinton's take on womanhood, the presidency, and more, check out some can't-miss quotes from the full interview and watch the clips below.
