Is The Hills Ruined for You?

MTV filmed LC and Whitney at lunch in LA this week. There has always been speculation on how staged the show really is. BWE interviewed LC's "date" from Monday's show and he revealed that The Hills is fake. There's obviously still some real life drama surrounding the characters like Jason Wahler going to jail - yesterday but this isn't the first time we've heard that the show is scripted. Now that we know it's fake, is The Hills ruined for you?

How did anyone NOT already know this was completely fake? I haven't even seen an entire episode and I knew it right off the bat. And I'm no genius, to be sure.

Oh please! If the "revelation" that this show is fake (or at least has fake elements) comes as a shock to you then....*shakes head*. I say, it's still entertaining regardless so I will continue to treat the show as what it is: a guilty pleasure :)

I've never seen it. I don't think we even get it on here in Australia. I don't really care if we do or not. It doesn't seem like riveting tv.

People needs to get over themselves. The show is a flaky 1/2 hr programs about a bunch of 21-22 yr old. It is not deep and it is not meant to be deep. It is a guilty pleasure. I dont think that there are scripts involve but I am sure producers creates situation and allow the cast to improve. Do you think that Brody who has known LC for 1 year now ... is really jealous of this champ, Gavin? They probably told him to gave him a hardtime and then producers edited the footage to make it seems like he was jealous. I love the hills it is my guilty pleasure. If I want to watch high scripted drama I tune in to Law and Order.

Seeing as my life doesn't depend on this, no, it's not that deep for me. However, it makes me have less respect for these people because they perpetuate this as if they were just puppets with no actual will.
